It has not been a good season for NFL kneelers and National Anthem protesters.
Fans have reacted with literal fire and fury as the anthem protests have swept across the NFL. People are tuning out in record numbers while attendance at games has dropped to its lowest level in decades.
The league has been caught flat-footed on the issue and is scrambling to keep the rage of fans at bay as the PR nightmare continues to unfold. Now, it seems the league is ready to make a permanent solution to the problem.
Reports indicate that if the protests continue, the NFL will make official rules dictating where and how the protesters can make their political statements. According to The Washington Post, the new rules being considered by team owners and NFL executives will outlaw all protests during the anthem and confine protesters to the locker room if they wish to sit out the anthem.

The horse has already left the barn.
Too late NFL.

The Constitution beat them to it.
The workplace isn’t required to make provisions for “protests”.
Next to the urinal in the locker room.
Here’s an idea!
Why don’t the players just stay in the locker room for the whole game?
Who wants to watch a football game when the players themselves have higher priorities?
First Priority: Political activism
Second Priority: Punishing fellow players who do not agree with them
Third Priority: Playing Football
Just wait till next season when those empty seats aren’t paid for.
NFL = Not For Long.
although I haven’t been watching any NFL games, it seems like there has been a black out on network news reports on cover shots of the empty NFL stadiums??
seems like all the in game camera angles are tight shots (like hildabeast used at her campaign rallys) to make it “look” full, but in reality hide the absence of fans/supporters.
Colin would have either been suspended and then came back and meekly stood for the anthem, or he would have been out of football and doing the crap he's doing now. But the rest of the players would've stood for the anthem.
Fans ave turned away because the NFL has refused to be patriotic. Sorry, boys. Does not matter how you slice it. Unless the kneelers are fired for behavior unbecoming the NFL is doomed.
if the protests continue, the NFL will make official rules dictating..
Doesn’t the NFL already have a rule dictating that they stand respectfully? Maybe they should try enforcing that.
Next Season is too late. For some like me, today is too late.
I want them to kneel or stand arm in arm or make that stupid black power fist. I want to know who they are.
Like you said - it's over. The NFL is full of racist ingrate manchilds. The culture is rotten to the core.
The NFL can not survive unless they dismiss all the ingrates and start over with new players who love the country.
There is no other workable solution. Period.
The NFL is total history. We don’t care what they do or who they do it to.They condoned and facilitated blatantly racists anti American Son’s of Bitches and it is too late. They played their card and we are gone.
Really nice have the extra time to do other things on Sundays.
Boycott NFL!
Let them kneel in front of Bill Clinton...
First Priority: Political activism
Second Priority: Punishing fellow players who do not agree with them
Third Priority: GETTING PAID
LAST PRIORITY: Playing Football
There, fixed it.
...SO let me get this straight!! THOSE who are true patriots will not be able to emerge and honor our country by singing the National Anthem???? This is pure idiotic thinking!!!!!
