All Goodell had to do was enforce the existing NFL rule that all players had to stand for the anthem and suspend any player without pay if they don't do so.
Colin would have either been suspended and then came back and meekly stood for the anthem, or he would have been out of football and doing the crap he's doing now. But the rest of the players would've stood for the anthem.
