While most of the focus is on the media's shiny object, Judge Roy Moore and the contentious senate race in Alabama, a very dangerous statement has been tossed out by Colorado Sen. Cory Gardner, chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. With the support of Senators Jeff Flake of Arizona and Todd Young of Indiana, Gardner has put forth the idea that if Judge Roy Moore wins the election in Alabama the senate should expel him because he does not meet the moral and ethical standards of the senate.

Gardner has put forth the idea that if Judge Roy Moore wins the election in Alabama the senate should expel him because he does not meet the moral and ethical standards of the senate. ......................................... LOL! Why stop at Moore? WE CAN WIPE OUT MORE THAN HALF OF CONGRESS!
The story here, in my eyes, is not that they will try to prevent him from being seated, it’s that Gardener is so brazen and stupid as to even say such a thing publicly.
Thank GOD that Trumps enemies are so stupid.
More like three quarters. All the Democrats and half the Republicans.
Al Franken
Bob Menendez
Barney Frank
Ted Kennedy
just to mame a few!
just WAIT til the NAMES of the Sexual Harrassers that WE PAID their LEGAL FEES and Settlements.....these guys are dancing on the doors of hell!
This notion has already been debunked by other GOPe
Or at minimum, they will expose even more of the RINO Uniparty.
Was Jeff Flake a Lobbyist for a Russian Co. that wanted our URANIUM??? I think I read that somewhere.
I have read that a senator can only be expelled for immoral or illegal acts committed during their term in the senate.
Gonna be pretty hard to sell following Franken's 2nd accuser coming forward.
Also the details of the 15 million dollar sex coverup fund in Congress being revealed in the next day or two will CHANGE everything.
Even if charges against Moore are true, he still meets the moral and ethical standards of the Senate.
He didn’t murder his pregnant girlfriend to shut her up. Even then he’d still be ok.
They don't want to open that can of worms. Which is why they would never get the necessary 3/4th vote.
If the Senate has “moral and ethical “standards, then why are McCain and Franken still there?.....
I think McConnell said it, too.
I have a feeling the SC would slap them down for refusing to seat a senator over unsubstantiated accusations ALREADY know before the election.
RINOs need to go
Only half? You sure about that?
Help! We're Four Demwits Trapped in Republican Bodies! Thanks Baynative.
If elected they should expel him? On 38 year old accusations with no proof?
Then I accuse McConnell of abusing little boys in the coat room 38 years ago.
Expel him too.
And don’t forget Franken- there is ACTUAL PROOF that he is a pig.
The proposition that these oligarchs could over rule the people of Alabama is tantamount to treason. It will not occur without the most dire of consequences as it would negate democracy at its core and set up a ruling class that knows better than the people. There is an election principal that if the charges are made clear and the people vote for the candidate the charges are deemed faulty and the charged takes office. This is the Alcie Hastings rule. Nowhere is politics has there been such a despicable bribe taking racist as alcie Hastings. This man, as a federal judge was impeached from the Federal district court judgeship for blatant corruption and bribery by the United States Senate. Notwithstanding, he was elected to the House of Representatives but seated and unimpaired. Of Course we had ,in the Senate, Edward Kennedy , a reprobate of enormous magnitude involved in the negligent homicide of Mary Jo Kopeckne in an egregious disaster during extra marital philandering. No action by the ethics committee there.
I would propose an ethics hearing on Corey Gardner for attempted usurpation of the electorate of Alabama and the most severe of sanctions if he continues with the insane proposition.
There is no proof of the charges against Moore.
But let he without sin cast the first stone.
