President Trump took to Twitter Monday morning to harshly condemn NFL player Marshawn Lynch after he stood for the Mexican national anthem, yet took a knee for the U.S. Star Spangled Banner during Sunday Night Football over the weekend.
Marshawn Lynch of the NFLs Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican Anthem and sits down to boos for our National Anthem. Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down. Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 20, 2017

Lynch is a running back for the Oakland Raiders and was playing against the New England Patriots when he made the controversial move.
President Trump has regularly criticized individual NFL players for refusing to stand for the U.S. national anthem. He's also gone after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who refuses to implement an enforced policy that requires players to stand.
Since protests against the national anthem started last year, NFL ratings have plummeted with fans citing players' refusal to stand for the American flag as the main reason they're tuning out of games. The business cost to the NFL is enormous.
As Roger Goodell, Jerry Jones, and the NFL engage in an ugly internal fight over the future leadership of the NFL, TV partners at CBS, ESPN, Fox and NBC are staring at their own internal conflicts namely a substantial decline in NFL ratings that is on pace to cost the four networks up to $500 million in lost revenue.
Already several hundred million in lost revenue has been booked in 2017 and it has the leagues top executives and television partners scrambling to figure out what went wrong. How did a league that was setting ratings records in 2015 suddenly see its audience fall by nearly 20% just two years later.
They want this country torn apart. They are too dumb to know why or what they are opening the door for. But their goal is "BURN IT ALL DOWN NOW!"
NFL players who disrespect our nation's flag and National Anthem are claiming it is a protest about equality and they have to do this because they are not being heard.
I say we stand with them by demanding that the US Department of Labor and EEOC enforce all existing employment and affirmative action rules on the businesses that participate in the NFL to make sure that their respective employee demographics reflect the US population by the end of the 2018-19 season.
Of the United States' 2014 population of 318,857,056 people, 77.4 percent identify as white, while 17.4 percent identify as Hispanic or Latino, making this the largest ethnic minority in the country.
The next largest minority identifies as Black or African American, making up 13.2 percent of the nation's population. The current ethnic representation in the NFL is way out of line and it violates the spirit of the reason the players are protesting.
Lets urge the NFL to make things right!
I understand the Mexicans gave him a resounding round of boos when he did it. They have more class than this miscreant.
Gotta love Trump - he is a multi-tasker who will not let the NFL wait for “things to die down and be forgotten”....
Look carefully at Marshawn. He embodies the persona that made Southern white mem to determine to use what ever means to control the blackamoors after 1865.
I don’t think this fool would do well living in Mexico.
Keep hammering them, Mr President!
He’s an idiot
“because he is African, not American”
Winning answer!!
“Whatever could be causing it ?”
A total mystery! People will be trying to unravel it for centuries.
“His bosses are either too stupid or too PC to do anything about it.”
I vote for cowardly. You’re talking about Oakland.
What lack of gratitude to a country that has rewarded him with riches he would not get anywhere else.
He can hardly communicate and he hates talking to the media so, it should be interesting.
The Mexican Ministery of Tourism is exuberant, stating that hosting American NFL games provided a great "economic impact to Mexico City and the country itself".
Folks, please read my post #43 up-thread where I discuss the negative impact on the economy of the American cities where teams will be not playing at home on a given Sunday, travelling south of the border instead.
The game just played in MexCit was a home game of the Raiders vs. the visiting Patriots. played away.
Since there is just so many home games played in Oakland during the season the vendors inside and outside the stadium take a big hit...as well as the city and state tax coffers....when the game is moved to a foreign country.

Good points all! Mexico has yet another item for which to be grateful to the US...
And if I recall correctly, many of these home towns provide massive amounts of incentives, concessions, etc. to the home team in terms of advertising tax breaks, etc...in hopes of enhanced economic activity.
So the NFL not only screws the military, first responders and patriotic citizens, they are now even short-changing their home cities. No integrity, no allegiance to anything or anyone except the all mighty buck and themselves :(
You nailed the salient points of the NFL-Mexico connection which is an in-your-face and a finger to our NFL cities....(not to mention the insane coddling by the NFL of the hate-America flag and anthem disrespectors).

Glad you pointed it out...
So much goes on it is hard to keep track!

After the NFL has died of self-inflicted wounds, I hope some intelligent entrepreneurs start a NEW professional football league... if not I will stick with college ball - until the lousy libs destroy that also. I liked the Arena League football, but the tv would not carry the games: a death sentence [which still took a number of seasons.]
I am just heart sick about what the libs have done to the NFL... BUT the Stalinist libs have infiltrated more and more of our traditional institutions [e.g: AMA, media, education] until I suspect the only solution for we traditionalists is state secession or a civil war.
And - as I have pointed out and I am sure many others have also - it has always been against the NFL rules to disrepect the National Anthem and we can thank Roger Goodell for not enforcing the rule and ruining everything just as I told him he would 10 years ago... for which he politely thanked me - and ignored me!
