We took a look at Macrons character; does he mean what he says?... What kind of a leader will he be? We analyzed many of his speeches, including his recent 2-hour address to the parliament on opening day, and weve found his rhetoric to be similar to that of U.S. President Ronald Reagan. Now, all politicians give great speeches. Whats notable about Macrons is his brazen criticism of the state and its socialist policies; his gentle admonitions to his countrymen about the poor state of affairs that theyve allowed their country to end up in. Heres a sample of his quotes:
"I have already begun working on labor reforms so that companies and employees might be able to regulate themselves. To give to those who are closest to the reality of the enterprise a greater capacity to regulate their own daily life, not in the way of force, but in a new and shared framework. We know that trust requires more attention than what any authoritarian system can provide. We also know that trust creates better results, and that it creates harmony without which no country can live.
France has seen both trials and grandeur in its history, enough not to have such a childlike population that is ignorant of the truth regarding what must be changed. Each French citizen has their own role to play and this conquest will restore their control over their own fortunes and futures as well as restoring their pride in following their [French] lineage and history. It is the reconciliation of the human condition and of our country. As for this rendezvous that our people have allowed us, we are not permitted to wait. That is why I will need our republic to mobilize all of the grand principles of our action."

Not until he removes the Muslim element he sure isn't.
Reagan didn’t marry his momma.
He is taking a hard stance though. A lot of the deadness of French society created the vacuum for Islamic radicals. The cultural deadness was a result of economic stagnation and debilitating socialist policies. Also, the secular impulse and removal of the civic place of Catholic-Christianity in public life. Conditions were a century or two in the making.
Forbes is talking utter nonsense. Hey, it’s the same bunch of experts saying the Brits are wrong for voting Brexit, their credibility is none except for astrology counsels.
Comparing Macron to Reagan, what a sick joke.
Macron would say anything that pleases the suckers in front of him, that means he can say black in the morning and white in the afternoon. When in Algeria, he trashes France (and made excuses for having colonised Algeria) and when in France, he will praise French genie.
Well I am happy that as bad as things got with our government, that I am here in the U.S. and not in France. I am pleased Trump has taken bold stances so many dare to take. But Macron gets credit for a lot of the initiatives he’s undertaken given France’s unforgiving social climate to meaningful change. (They simply would not have had the wherewithal to elect a true conservative outright, and Marine Le Pen had a lot of personal baggage.)
Trump seems to like him as a person too.
‘”A lot of the deadness of French society created the vacuum for Islamic radicals. The cultural deadness was a result of economic stagnation and debilitating socialist policies.”
Tell everyone you know, SOCIALISM CREATES PASSIVITY IN THE POPULACE. You can see it whenever you visit France. The society becomes sheep, they live to receive their benefits and will fight for keeping the benefits, but they won’t fight for the society or country.
The young people are different. I have friends who didn’t vote at all...Some Catholics were uncomfortable with Marine Le Pen for religious reasons, even though she had some strong conservative stances on paper. People are warming up to Macron. (The silent majority who don’t go on strikes and things.)
So, he’s nothing more than the second-coming of Jacques Chirac.
France was built on the godless principles of the Jacobins and has always been leftist. If Americas trinity is Liberty, In God We Trust, E Pluribus Unum, ala Denis Prager, Frances would be Equality, there is no god, and France is superior.
I loved driving around rural France, and found their cooking superb; however, the country has been a mess since her founding. Leftism kills, and France serves as a warning for the rest of that pitiful continent. Unfortunately, that warning may come in the form of one of the worlds largest nuclear powers falling under Muslim controlfalling without a shot fired.
the French constitution separated Church of any domination from State back in the 1905 (Jaures).
this did not came from a vacuum, but from the insisting roman-catholic church to further instill itself in the public discourse and dictate a society which was based on their principles instead of reason.
The French revolution was fought, and many people died, in the name of freedom and reason.
the freedom to be who you are as long as such freedom does not interfere with the freedom of others in a civil society.
Sadly, people seem to have forgot the “Reason” part of it.
All I know is Thomas Paine (a Deist/rationalist) went to France with great hopes for the Revolution there and came back to the U.S. very disillusioned.
Paine was critical of the religiosity of early Americans.
So, when he died, the Christians HERE refused to give Paine a proper burial. He made his atheistic beliefs public in books like “Age of Reason” which was published after the American Revolution - prior to which he was rather a hero.
Only 6 people attended his funeral...I think.
So if the French Revolution was too crazy even for him, that’s saying something.
” a childlike population that is ignorant of the truth regarding what must be changed”
The serfs are stupid.
Reason is very important.
I do not know about Paine.
But I do know about Montesquieu and Voltaire.
The caliphate will be very happy about this and bleed it to death once they take full control of France and the rest of Eurostan.
Many of the problems facing Europe and French culture today are rooted from the flawed premises of the French Revolution and the brutal rejection of faith. Inspired the Bolsheviks of 1917 who took “Reason” to a whole new level with the atheist Soviet Empire.
The American founders were biblically informed.
In France they have fond memories of Francois Mitterrand. He pushed for the TGV rail which opened the Rhône/Saone valley to easy access to Paris and its airports.
Infrastructure.
Merci, mon ami.
America is also a Protestant-theology grounded nation in terms of politics. So its a Biblically informed individualism that challenged Catholic notions of hierarchy and power.
But Americans did not espouse Enlightenmemt thinking the way the French did. Enlightenment thought led to unbound faith in science and the triumph of man over nature. This enthusiasm paved the way for the toxic Darwinist social psychology, which set the stage for both World Wars and the totaliatarianism of Nazis and Soviets.
Ben Franklin, mostly a Deist, at the end of his life said:
I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth- that God Governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?
