I guess one has to question the business acumen of these millionaire/billionaire owners.

They are willing to take on “America’s Team” in the football crazed Republic of Texas. In other words, football’s ground zero.

Makes sound business sense to me.

My ulterior motive suspicion is the liberals want the game en toto killed and why not go at the heart of it

Goodell wants $50 million a year and lifetime use of private jets.

Don't forget he is also demanding lifetime medical care for his entire family.

Mishandling of the players’ protest that HE PARTICIPATED IN. He didn’t start criticizing Goodell until Eliot got suspended, this is 100% him having a hissyfit because his guy is getting punished. Jones is a cry baby.

I said the Vikings won the last championship before the merge. Maybe this year they will win the last Super Bowl before its demise. That would be fitting

I want to believe...

If the NFL (i.e., Goodell) think that the Starbuck’s triple-shot latte crowd will keep them afloat after the conservatives walk away, they should really think again.

“We’re not going to win this fight. Sorry.”

Maybe. Jones’ looked to owners such as Al Davis, Lamar Hunt and Art Runney for guidance when they were alive. All of these guys had a history of taking on the NFL. I think he’s cut from the same cloth. I wouldn’t underestimate Jerry Jones if I were you.

This has to stop... taxing commerce for a game and subsidizing the Team to play there

What you described is abuse of municipal bonds.

Who cares? I hope they enrage Jerry, kick him right in the divot!!

The sooner the NFL dies, the better off the tax payer will be and there will be one less venue for the liberal agenda

Rebuild it with out tax dollars, unions and liberal idiots

Progressives always circle the wagons. Conservative, OTOH, well I think we don’t wan to go there.

That's because progressivism is a religious cult. It doesn't operate on, nor require, rational thinking, moral principles, or personal integrity. You are either a faithful member of the cult or you are an outsider.

Conservatism is, on the other hand, not a an actual cohesive group. It is the just the default category for those people who don't buy into the progressive religion. There isn't necessarily a binding sense of belonging for conservatives. You could be a Boston dock worker who just doesn't think that two men should get married, and you are, by default, a conservative. You could be a California high-tech guy that thinks that health care would be better run privately and you would be, by default, a conservative. And these two types of people may not really have anything in common with each other.

The funny thing is that, in both of these cases, that one issue could be the ONLY thing that really defines you as conservative, but because it is forbidden by the progressive religion, you will never be accepted by the progressives. Progressivism requires 100% unquestioning obedience. It is the reason that a lot of people who might have considered themselves liberal 20 years ago have become Trump supporters, or born-again conservatives as of late - because progressivism has revealed such extremities in its actions that former members can't follow it any longer, and thus become ostracized by it.

They didn’t merge until after the Vikings lost to KC. Up till then it was just an inter league game between the AFL champion and the NFL champion. The game between the champions of the NFL and the AFL was called the “AFL-NFL Championship Game”.

The games were to see if the AFL was good enough. They won two of them, Jets and KC both won. They proved they were good enough to compete, so they then merged the two leagues into one.

Now we have the American Conference and the National Conference one big league. The teams from both old leagues are now all mixed up between both conferences as one league.

Look into it, I know for which I speak. I watched them all as I kid. I remember the adults all claiming the AFL was a joke, especially after GB won the first two. Look who is laughing now. LOL

Anyway, the last official last NFL champion was the Minnesota Vikings. They defeated the Cleveland Browns, but then lost in the last inter league Championship game that was later called the Super Bowl. The game wasn’t officially named the Super Bowl until they merged and began using Roman Numerals to distinguish them apart. They did however retroactively rename the first 4 games as the fist four Super Bowls.

If you can find old game flyers you will see they do not have the word Super Bowl on them, they say They didn’t merge until after the Vikings lost to KC. Up till then it was just an inter league game between the AFL champion and the NFL champion. The game between the champions of the NFL and the AFL was either called the “AFL-NFL Championship Game”, or the “World Championship Game”.

That is why you don’t see any NFL champion playing any AFL champion in the Super Bowl anymore. We have the NFC champion playing the AFC champion to get the NFL champion.’t see any NFL champion playing any AFL champion in the Super Bowl anymore. We have the NFC champion playing the AFC champion.

We’re not going to win this fight. Sorry.

Actually, we will, but it will require long-term thinking rather than instant-gratification thinking. Essentially, people who find the behavior of the NFL players and their masters objectionable should simply stop supporting the league. Stop watching NFL or caring about it. Most people get into watching football because their parents and the relatives of their parents' generation watched it. It becomes a family tradition, like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Cut it out of your life, and your children will grow up focusing on other things, and the NFL will eventually fade into obscurity.

The truth is that neither the NFL, nor any other professional sport, should ever have been given such a high place in American society. It is like Hollywood. Where the actors and performers of medieval Europe were looked upon as no better than whores and beggars, Hollywood celebrities are now royalty. Where football was once just a game played for fun on one's day off, now the NFL has achieved the level of royalty. In both cases, the "royal lineage" is nothing but a bunch of low-IQ, morally depraved fools. The USA has needed a re-alignment of priorities for a while. Might as well do it now.
