So the Senate kills most middle class tax breaks, and the ones they leave they expand to cover millionaires. Are the Republicans in the Senate that tone deaf or are they just trying to kill tax reform?

Not tone deaf. Greedy. The swamp is in constant need of dead bodies.

I loathe every one of these scurrilous scum bags.

They seem to be incapable of writing a law that is simple, clean and honest.

Every law they write is loaded down with lard and pork, loopholes and hidden favors.

How's this for a hypothetical:

A working mom makes $250,000 a year. She places her young one in child day care and receives the full child day care credit. Assume she has a housekeeper come in while she's at work and the housekeeper is paid minimum wage. She has to put her young one in child day care when she's at work. Because she receives such a small income, she does not receive the full child day care credit.

Good going, "Republicans". You must be real proud about pleasing Ivanka.

HuffPo? Next we’ll be posting the NYT! The Republicans aren’t interested in fixing the economy or helping the middle class, but there was a time when conservatives would have said millionaires are entitled to the same treatment as all other citizens. Envy is a Leftist tool.

The mantra begins: “tax cuts for the rich.”

Puh lease
Minimum wage taxpayers?
Lets stop talking about how puny are the tax breaks for people who pay little to no tax and get an income redistribution check from the IRS

I think we’re close to the realization that unless it has x-amount of badness, there’s no way to get the feckless fake republicans to vote for it....

We didn't elect a GOP majority to RAISE TAXES ON THE MIDDLE CLASS-PERIOD.

This nonsense of subsidizing high tax States is exactly that- NONSENSE.

The people writing this tax bill are lying Goldman Sachs oligarchs Banksters, the same scumbags that were “too big to fail” and got the taxpayers to bail them out back in 2008 that now want a huge tax cut for corporations and want the upper middle class to pay for it.

CUT SPENDING

DO NOT RAISE TAXES ON THE MIDDLE CLASS

This bill raises taxes on a family of four in ANY State, whether they have a State Income tax or not.

Banksters Mnuchin and Gary Cohn from Goldman Sachs are writing the tax bill.

This is an attempt at the biggest heist in history.

“Mnuchin is a member of the “Big Six”, a group of politicians convened to write a tax reform proposal that incorporated input from members of the House of Representatives, Senate, and White House. In addition to Mnuchin, the group consists of Senators Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY); Representatives Kevin Brady (R-TX) and Paul Ryan (R-WI); and National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn”.

Do you trust these 2 creepy scumbags or believe a goddamned word they say?

I sure as hell don't

They need a trip to the Guillotine, not running around trying to steal cash from HARD WORKING MIDDLE CLASS TAXPAYERS!!!!!

Even an idiot can see from this bar chart that FEDGOV is out of control.

Yearly spending has doubled too, from 2 trillion to 4 trillion since 2001.

Rather than cut spending, the GOP wants to stick it to MIDDLE CLASS taxpayers THAT ACTUALLY PAY TAXES, give corporations a break (windfall that won't be passed down to employees), and pass it off as a TAX CUT

OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!

Rich people need tax breaks...they pay way more tax than the average middle class person.

Yes, I want to pay the producers and hard workers to have children. Give them the child tax credit. Right now we are paying illegal aliens and American bums to produce a parasite class.

Why not have a tax code where the first $50,000 dollars earned is considered a subsistence rate, and isn’t taxed at all? Even the richest of the rich get no taxes on the first $50K.

After this, we can have a flat tax on higher incomes. For example:
$0- $50,000 = 0%
$50,001-$99,999 = 5%.
$100,000 - $150,000 = 6%
$150,001 - $250,000 = %10
250,001 - $1,000,000 = %15
$1,000,000 + = 20%

No deductions, period.

Everyone fills out the same tax form. About the size of a post card.

It would have Name, SSAN, amount earned, tax, if any, due.

Example. I earn $83,100 this year. My tax is then

First $50,000 = $0.

$50,001 through $83,100 = $31099

$31099 taxed at 5% = $1654.95.

That’s all.
