ISN'T IT OBVIOUS?
This warning label (among about a half dozen warning labels) appears on my son's baby carriage: Do not fold carriage with baby inside! It may seem funny to state something so obvious, but I suppose to cover themselves against lawsuits from people who couldn't figure out to first remove the baby, they put on the warning label. The Prophet Micah gives us easy-to-follow instructions for a good life that seems so obvious and elementary we wonder, is that all we have to do to live happily and peacefully?
The answer is YES! All we need do is follow these simple rules:
To do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God!
Micah 6:8

Whats the Best Gift?
November 12, 2017
The temple I am going to build will be great, because our God is greater than all other gods.
2 Chronicles 2:5
My husband recently celebrated a milestone birthday, the kind that ends in a zero. I thought hard about the best way to honor him on this important occasion. I discussed my many ideas with our children to help me home in on the best one. I wanted our celebration to reflect the significance of a new decade and how precious he is to our family. I wanted our gift to be in keeping with the importance of this milestone in his life.
King Solomon wanted to give to God a much greater gift than a big birthday would merit. He wished for the temple he built to be worthy of Gods presence in it. To secure raw materials, he messaged the king of Tyre. In his letter, he remarked that the temple would be great because our God is greater than all other gods (2 Chron. 2:5). He acknowledged that Gods vastness and goodness far exceeded what could ever be built with human hands, yet set about the task anyway out of love and worship.
Our God is indeed greater than all other gods. He has done wondrous things in our lives, prompting our hearts to bring Him a loving and precious offering, regardless of its external value. Solomon knew his gift wouldnt match Gods worth, yet joyfully set his offering before Him; we can too.
Lord, You are indeed a great God, matchless in worth. May my offerings be pleasing in Your sight.
The most treasured gift we can give to God is our love.

Good to see you, EX...a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
LOL! Not a bad idea. If you are too stupid to take the baby out of the stroller before folding it, you are too stupid to have a baby.
Any snow in your part of Tennessee? My brother and his wife moved themselves and their boat to Georgia and are getting closer to being able to get it back into the water. Before Tennessee they were in the part of St Maartens that was destroyed just recently.

Dear God: I ask that no Airman, Coast Guardsman, Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Reservist, National Guardsman, or Merchant Marine feel alone or forgotten.
O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is loving kindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.

Blue is still out in the cold...I will probably just have to run the engine a few times tomorrow just to keep her warmed up and ready for the Big Ride to Bro’s, which will hopefully be next week after this Arctic Blast rumbles through. We usually have one or two nice days after the first Freeze (Which was last night) called “Indian Summer.
As someone who is part Northeastern Inuit and MiQ’Mac Indian, I promise I will NOT be offended if we have a nice Indian Summer this year!
Penny has been wearing her Winter Coat, and is “strictly Business” right now on her walks.
She’s not thrilled about the Freeze Either.
So, Penny, Blue and I are all displeased with this Early FREEZE!

Hi, Kathy! (((hugs))) May you have a blessed Lord’s Day, too!
We went to see my MIL this afternoon and she seems to be doing well and gaining a bit more strength every day. She is still in the facility for recovery and is having PT daily. She is probably ready to go home to her apartment. Not sure if that will be possible, but we’ll see what happens.
