Sean Hannity was the friendliest possible interviewer that Roy Moore could have chosen to defend himself from accusations that he fondled a 14-year-old girl. Despite the host teeing up softballs for him, Moore flubbed his chance to put the controversy to rest, failing to completely deny dating teenage girls when in his 30s and claiming forgetfulness when trying to deny specific allegations.
The money quote:
"Let me ask you this, you do remember these girls? Would it be unusual for you as a 32-year-old guy to have dated a woman as young as 17? That would be a 15-year difference... or a girl 18. Do you remember dating girls that young at that time?" Hannity asked. "Not generally, no," Moore answered. "If did, you know, I'm not going to dispute anything but I don't remember anything like that."

My father was 32, and my mother was 16 when they married in 1936, and their first chi!d wasn’t born until 4 years later. I was the last of four, and I was born in 1947. And I’m the last one left of all of them.
I dont care if Moore dated and kissed a 17 year old when he was 32 when it was legal in his state. I could not care less.
Neither could anyone else, really.
So why did he lie about it? That shows some kind of subterfuge that was wholly unnecessary. THAT is what bothers me, not the dating a 17 year old.
Doug Lewis claims a lot of things. Beware of people who always seem to be in the know.
When you are trolling the mall to meet girls, it is mostly the teeny-boppers you run into.

Who did that?
I agree he should go with the Biblical defense.
We are not trying to elect a 32 year old Moore.
The candidate is a married family man with an outstanding public record and testimony.
According to the article, two of his pickups were at the mall. One he met as a Santas helper.
That’s a fumble? The guy is speaking from his heart; go away.
It was once typical for a man to go out and establish himself in a career, and then find himself a wife of prime childbearing age. Age gaps of 10 or 20 years were not just common, they were expected. This was the practice among the middle and upper classes for centuries in Western culture. Other cultures, it might be noted, had and have somewhat more extreme practices.
It didn't really change until after WWII when many women entered the work force for good, and until a lot of women started attending coed universities. The change wasn't abrupt, it was gradual, and is still ongoing, for better or worse. People finding fault with those historic practices tend to be progressives looking for a way to attack or simply holier-than-thou posers. There is also the biological angle - men can reproduce at a much greater age than women. The traditional, if you will, approach makes perfectly good economic and biological sense, especially as women tend to mature physically and mentally earlier than men.
Yes, flat-out denying it is definitely a fumble.
I believe Prince Charles was 32 or 33 at time he married 19 year old Diana.
There is no harm in you having that as a personal view.
And since you are volunteering your personal views, what did you think of Senator Thurmond marrying a 22 year-old when he was aged 66? Have you written anywhere about how wrong it was for them to have four children?
Time will not tell us anything.
This is 40 years in the past. The main accuser has no evidence, proof or witnesses that anything happened untoward.
The phony "alleged allegations" are just that... phony.
The only thing time may tells us is that these accusations are lies. But the intended damage has been done.
Moore will weather this and become the biggest pain in McTurtle's ass he's ever had.
My question here is: Is this exchange between Hannity and Judge Roy Moore accurately reported here?
It's a YES or NO question requiring a YES or NO answer.
I did not see Hannity, I do not watch TV except for Hockey (big Chicago Blackhawks fan here...) and occasionally "Fox News Sunday." Other than that, the idiot box in my house is OFF.
“So why did he lie about it?”
You know for a fact that Judge Moore lied? May we see your data?
He admitted knowing and dating two of the women.
It's the other two he denies knowing and both lack credibility.
1- still sorta odd.
2- 22 is age of consent.
Hannity playing goodie two shoes. I honestly know he is a nice guy, but the guy has a way that grates the heck out of me.
I usually turn his show off.
