EXCLUSIVE: Senior Saudi figures tortured and beaten in purge

Some senior figures detained in last Saturday's purge in Saudi Arabia were beaten and tortured so badly during their arrest or subsequent interrogations that they required hospital treatment, Middle East Eye can reveal.

People inside the royal court also told MEE that the scale of the crackdown, which has brought new arrests each day, is much bigger than Saudi authorities have admitted, with more than 500 people detained and double that number questioned.

Members of the royal family, government ministers and business tycoons were caught up in the sudden wave of arrests orchestrated by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, known as MBS, under the banner of an anti-corruption drive.

Some, but not all, of the top figures arrested were singled out for the most brutal treatment, suffering wounds to the body sustained by classic torture methods. There are no wounds to their faces, so they will show no physical signs of their ordeal when they next appear in public

Was it going to be a hit on the Prince?

Pretty sure the person identified as the Saudi prince in that video is a plain-clothes security guy for the casino. I'm sure all casinos have them, just like most big retail stores. There were reports of gunfire at the Tropicana that night that ended up being incorrect, but they still sent in a team to check it out, which is what you are seeing in that video.

Both of the old King Abdullah’s sons have been detained as well as Alwaleed and now Bandr.

There’s only two more top princes left that I’m aware of, outside King Salman’s own relatives.

“People inside the royal court also told MEE that the scale of the crackdown...”

When they say crackdown, they mean crackdown.

EXCLUSIVE: Senior Saudi figures tortured and beaten in purge

I'm beginning to think the DC Swamp could benefit from similar methods.

Still pretty interesting about the Saudi connection to the Mandalay. Too much cover up of the incident.

Perhaps, one of the shrubs can fly over to Saudi Arabia and provide a character reference....

The Shrub Clan is part and parcel of the swamp problem.

Drain the swamp.

Usually, Saudi Arabia does its public executions at “chop-chop square” in Riyadh. These are always held on the first of the month (Islamic Calendar). The first of the month is always at the New Moon. So, my guess is on or around November 18, I would expect to hear about a high number of executions. I have no information on how many “private” executions they do (if they do them at all). My guess is the conspirators will be punished publicly as a deterrent.

They all deserve that, and more. They are the source of much of the world's terrorism, including the ones doing the "purge".

I remember this guy on a US news program about him.
Huge mansion, pretty girls (white Americans I believe) as
aides and managers of his estate -- in other words ultra rich.
When asked how much he was worth he replied smugly
in that Arab/British accent "twenty billion."

The purge began a week ago, and only now are the purged people receiving some sympathy in the media.

That alone should demonstrate just how effective Crown Prince bin Talal’s swampdraining had been: before the purge, these captured princes threw around billions in corruption money, some of which was to buy themeselves some good #FakeNews about themselves.

Now, they get nothing but crickets.

The article mentions nothing about bin Talal (co-owner of the four seasons) being tortured. Furthermore, it mentions nothing about him being captured, despite many other media outlets having already reported the capture.

Despite that, I like your mention of the assination-attempt conspiracy theory. It is the only explanation that resonates with many of the reported facts. It actually creeped me out when I first read about it here.

However, I have two quibbles with the theory:

- Crown Prince bin Salman ain’t no dummy, so if I were him, I would not have stayed at a bin Talal hotel. Trump International by the Wynn would have been much more hospitable, given Salman’s good working relationship with President Trump.

- If bin Salman did stay at bin Talal’s four seasons, bin Talal should have prevented bin Salman from leaving the hotel for the Tropicana. It was the choice between the Tropicana or his assassins being able to drops-a-can-a. Talal wussed out by choosing the former. And now talal is paying for that mistake.

The publishing rights to this story will be immensely valuable. Heck, if hannity and/or bannon turns it into a movie, I’d actually pay to see it in a theater.

The plain-clothed gaurd theory makes no sense given that there are more than a handful of gaurds with their firearms drawn while escorting him. That makes no sense at all.
