Republicans Say Moore’s More Trouble Than a Senate Seat’s Worth
NBC "News" ^ | November 10, 2017 | by JONATHAN ALLEN

WASHINGTON — Roy Moore could do more damage to the GOP brand than an Alabama Senate seat is worth.

NBC News has not confirmed that (sic) allegations; the woman didn't file a police report or bring a civil suit.

Moore, now 70, called the charges "completely false" in a statement released by his campaign Thursday.

It's a "no-win situation through and through" for the GOP, said Doug Heye, a former Senate and House Republican aide.

"He's not worth it," Heye said.

The question of how to handle Moore has both political and moral components, said Republicans who spoke to NBC News on Friday. Some aren't waiting for more information.

"It is not acceptable to have this man as the face of the party in any state," Michael Steele, who served as the spokesman for former House Speaker John Boehner, said on MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports" on Friday.

Former Louisiana Sen. John Breaux, a Democrat, said the allegations — what he termed the "girl problem" —could have serious repercussions for the Republican Party well beyond Alabama if he wins the race and is seated in the Senate.

"What does that say about the party?" he asked. "Basically, a child molester is going to be a United States senator."

Coupled with Moore's alignment with former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, who has declared war against the Senate Republican leadership, the allegations mean that Moore will be "a perpetual thorn in their side," Breaux said.

This is a full-scale DC Elite assault on Judge Roy Moore and his supporters in Alabama. Likely led by Mitch McConnell.

All choreographed and led by Bezos WAPO, with help from the GOPe. These traitorous pieces of trash wont let up for the weekend.

The GOP needs to be destroyed.
I don’t know who’s pulling the strings there but they are not a party of the people or even of an ideology but some power crazed jerks who are running their own dictatorship.

Trump? Bannon? Go for it. We’ll follow you.

>>damage to the GOP brand

Now that the GOP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Democrat party, their brand is meaningless.

Of course, Republicans would rather lose than have someone in the Senate dedicated to making real changes.

The Republican establishment is more likely the Democrats to have created the lies about Moore.

A lot of “former” political people commenting. Interesting how GOP types jump at any allegation and immediately condemn all those involved even ones brought by Democrats and their operatives, while Democrats in the same position either ignore or minimize any allegation until it disappears.

Republican pols seem incapable of learning and appear hugely gullible.

As a Jewess on the US, I can only point out that the number of women who allegedly DATED, but had no sex with, Roy Moore is EXACTLY the same number who accused President Clinton of FORCIBLE RAPE, a FAR more serious offense. Now we know why all REAL Americans put our 2nd Amendment FIRST. Just sayin’!

The allegations are false, proven so by the timing.
If all these women had all these stories and they were true, it would have come out in prior judicial races or the 10 Commandments struggle.

Resist this hit.

Fight back.

Accusers are paid frauds or political hacks.

Bezos needs to distance himself or Amazon becomes a political organization.

This nonsense is a repeat of what the GOPe pulled with Chris McDaniel in Mississippi and with Joe Miller in Alaska.

The Republican establishment dedicates itself to undermining the will of the people and the democratic process as well as any meaningful conservative agenda in Congress.

Anyone piling on Moore is the enemy.

I am really touched that the corrupt democrat John Breaux is concerned about the Republican party.

(The GOP needs to be destroyed.)
RINOs need to be replaced, even if temporarily by Democrats. If we had a real GOP, even if not numerous, we wouldn’t be in such bad straits as a nation.

The GOPee in the Senate needs a good azz kickin’.

Moore is likely a significant step in that direction. May he prevail and then be able to take it to Ditch. For America.

Whatever happened to the quaint notion of being innocent until proven guilty? And then guilty of what — trying to score with underage girls? Sleazy but what crime was supposedly committed here beyond a reasonable doubt?

If a senate seat is not worth defending against 38 year old allegations of a grope, what is?

Let's find someone to make an allegation against Chuck Schumer, and Mitch McConnell.

Probably too late to do it for McCain.
