The allegations against Roy Moore are disgusting — and if you find yourself reluctant to say so because of your politics, then you’re pretty gross, too.
The Leigh Corfman story, reported by the Washington Post, is about so much more than just some older guy having a relationship with some younger girl. That, of course, would be bad enough — many girls haven’t even had their f***ing periods at age 14 — but this is also about a man who abuses his power to prey on the powerless. It’s about a respected district attorney finding a girl in a vulnerable position (waiting with her mother outside of a child-support hearing) and relishing in the opportunity to take advantage of it. It’s a sick story that is all too common, and one that will continue to be common if we refuse to speak out against it.
I believe that Roy Moore was a predator with a penchant for teenage girls. No, not because I’m some p***y-hat-wearing snowflake (as eloquent as that argument is) but because of logic. As my colleague David French notes, there are a lot of reasons to believe these allegations: There are multiple accusers. These women didn’t come to the press seeking attention, they simply answered the questions when the press came to them. They have witnesses corroborating their stories. Finally, the woman with the most serious allegations, Leigh Corfman, voted for Donald Trump in 2016 — making the political-hit-job storyline laughable at best.
If you think there’s no way you know anyone personally who has been through something like this; you’re wrong again, and it’s time for people on all political sides to recognize reality: These men are everywhere, so are their victims, and those victims aren’t talking points for your partisan-hack gotcha tweets. They’re people.

Just a note: an “allegation” may be “disgusting” but that is meaningless.
An “allegation” is just that. It cannot be “disqualifying” as McTurd says because anyone can “allege” anything at any time.
So the real question is, “are the allegations-—regardless of what they are-—true or proveable?” If not, all else is spittle.
If 32/14 thing nearly 40 years ago is so despicable, then why do they still play Stray Cat Blues on the radio? I’m guessing that 50% of senators and congressmen over age 60 once made out with an underaged girl.

This Moore/Corfman allegation reeks of orchestration by The Deep State of which McConnell is part of as are the Democrats.
If you accuse innocent men of crimes you’re more disgusting.

I would agree if there was proof that it was true.
This strikes me as similar to the “golden shower” allegations against Trump, and Reid’s allegations against Romney that he hadn’t paid any taxes in 10 years. Luckily the American people didn’t buy the allegation against Trump, but enough bought the allegations against Romney.
I hope the people of Alabama stick with Moore... unless the allegations are convincingly proven. If so he can be forced to resign then, but until then I would not reward the Rats’s despicable tactics with a senate seat of a very conservative state.

Why would they lie? When you’re up against a powerful man with lots of money and influence, its very difficult to come out and say things against him.
Look what happened to Bill Clinton’s accusers. And the notion because Moore is a Republican, our political goals are more important than our values, I can’t sign up with the crowd that advises us we should ignore a person’s character for the sake of mere expediency.
Moore is one man. There will be others to carry on the cause in which we believe.

And they’re using it very effectively - to get rid of a candidate the establishment deeply detests.

If every time a male makes a pass at a female his future is in jeopardy then the nation’s future is in peril for there will be no more babies.
No. It’s about allegations that are 38 years old and were never mentioned until a few weeks before an election. That sounds more like yet another lie than it sounds like a predator. We’ve seen this script before, far too many times. We can afford to impeach and remove US Senator Moore if there is substance behind these charges, and then have another special election. We cannot afford to give this seat to a far-left freak based on unsubstantiated claims.
And when I ask for Due Process, I am accused of ‘Blaming the Victim’.
All they have is her word whom she voted for just like all we have is her word about what happened 40 years ago.
No witnesses to what supposaly happened in private we don’t even have any evidence that she had ever even met Moore.
As for the other girls their claims are so unprovable and subjective in nature even if the girls are telling the truth it doesn’t mean they we’re right about Moores intention.
Personally I think this is all made up hit pease that you get from fishing.

I have not seen this. Does anyone know if there are witnesses who saw Roy Moore with even one of these girls? I heard some moms allowed it, did any of them come forward?
If there’s even ONE contemporaneous witness who says, or knows indisputably, that Roy Moore was with a teenage girl when he was in his 30’s, he’s too stupid to be a Senator, the moral question notwithstanding.
If not, he needs to hang on and get elected.
If so, he’s not fit.
