The allegations against Roy Moore are disgusting — and if you find yourself reluctant to say so because of your politics, then you’re pretty gross, too.
The Leigh Corfman story, reported by the Washington Post, is about so much more than just some older guy having a relationship with some younger girl. That, of course, would be bad enough — many girls haven’t even had their f***ing periods at age 14 — but this is also about a man who abuses his power to prey on the powerless. It’s about a respected district attorney finding a girl in a vulnerable position (waiting with her mother outside of a child-support hearing) and relishing in the opportunity to take advantage of it. It’s a sick story that is all too common, and one that will continue to be common if we refuse to speak out against it.
I believe that Roy Moore was a predator with a penchant for teenage girls. No, not because I’m some p***y-hat-wearing snowflake (as eloquent as that argument is) but because of logic. As my colleague David French notes, there are a lot of reasons to believe these allegations: There are multiple accusers. These women didn’t come to the press seeking attention, they simply answered the questions when the press came to them. They have witnesses corroborating their stories. Finally, the woman with the most serious allegations, Leigh Corfman, voted for Donald Trump in 2016 — making the political-hit-job storyline laughable at best.
If you think there’s no way you know anyone personally who has been through something like this; you’re wrong again, and it’s time for people on all political sides to recognize reality: These men are everywhere, so are their victims, and those victims aren’t talking points for your partisan-hack gotcha tweets. They’re people.

And how do they know this gal voted for Trump? Her word? Well, that’s convenient. This woman supposedly voted for Trump but works for the democrats? Nothing fishy about that, I’m sure. Of course she wouldn’t lie about such a thing, even if it is simple to do and there’s no way anybody could verify the truth of her claims - EITHER of her claims...

Corfman said she did not come forward with complaints about Moore earlier over concerns for her children and fears her past - she's been divorced three times and has a history of financial issues - would undermine her credibility.
If there was a Democrat who was a sexual predator running for a U.S. Senate seat in a state where there was no chance in hell that the Republican would win, I wouldn't vote for the guy but I would be thrilled to see him win.
I expect voters in this country to hold their elected officials not to the standards we have for ourselves, but to the standards we've come to expect from our governing institutions. And right now I'm willing to say that Roy Moore should be the U.S. Senator from Alabama even if every accusation is true ... because that's exactly what I think of the U.S. Senate.
This has nothing to do with politics. Sure the swamp executed a dirty hit op on Moore but Moore had to know his past might end up bringing him down.
Rule of thumb is, disclose everything before every one else finds out about you. You don’t want to look like you’re hiding something.
And this isn’t a salutary comment on Moore’s character. Just the opposite. Sure Bubba did that with a young intern. Moore is far worse - he took advantage of teen girls.
He could do that because he was the local district attorney. A perfect hiding place for a sexual predator. But sooner than later, the truth finds you out when you least expect it.

As a Jewess on the US, I can only point out that the number of women who allegedly DATED, but had no sex with, Roy Moore is EXACTLY the same number who accused President Clinton of FORCIBLE RAPE, a FAR more serious offense. Now we know why all REAL Americans put our 2nd Amendment FIRST. Just sayin’!
After 38 years all of a sudden, 33 days before the election women come out of the woodwork a man of this? Really? Why did Moore stop his predatory behavior? Weinstein never did.

I suspect the women who’ve come forward are just the beginning not the end of Moore’s problems.
Sexual predators don’t stop when they’re 32 years old. That’s why I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Right now its smoke engulfing the Moore campaign but there could be a fire around the corner.
Don’t rule it out.
