In an interview for Billboard magazine, country singer Faith Hill spoke out in favor of gun control and said it is time for the NRA to tell the truth about guns. Speaking about last months Las Vegas mass shooting, in which guns were used illegally to kill innocent concert-goers, Hill referenced the doctors who treated those wounded in the attack, saying: The doctors that [treated] the wounded, they saw wounds like youd see in war. Thats not right. Military weapons should not be in the hands of civilians. Its everyones responsibility, including the government and the National Rifle Association, to tell the truth.
We all want a safe country, the Wild One singer added.
Her husband, Tim McGraw, reasserted his support for common sense gun control during the same interview, saying, Look, Im a bird hunter I love to wing-shoot. However, there is some common sense thats necessary when it comes to gun control.

Probably a good thing their careers are over. She just Dixie Chicked herself. I wonder how the folks in Star MS feels about this?
She always was an airhead.
Entertainers - What don’t they know?
Shove it Faith
Did you get the belt-driven model?
The truth is guns are inanimate objects made of steel and synthetic materials. Objects are incapable of moral or immoral conduct. Objects are not people. How’s that?
Shut up and don’t ding!, just shut the hell up you dumbass!..................
Tell that one to Chicago.
Soooo, Faith and Tim, what is it like living in your guarded community and bodyguard protected lives?
Is this Faith “singing on stage is like having an orgasm” Hill? Just play that interview along with her gun control views.
Truth? Liberal democrats kill people using guns. Every last one of them were liberal democrats.
Can someone please post one of the “If these were only brains” pics?
Faith, while you certainly are an attractive and talented woman...damn but you are stupid in the ways of the world. Ok, maybe stupid is an unfair characterization. Maybe you and hubby are just ignorant and ill-informed, living in your stardom bubble. On the off chance some similarly misinformed lib lurker is reading this I will yet again refute the idiocy spouted by entertainers. All too often when a celebrity of whatever stripe spouts off on a topic we are reminded how little they know outside their entertainment field.
...it is time for the NRA to tell the truth about guns.
Faith dear, the NRA is telling the truth. It is an uncomfortable, scary truth that tells no feel-good lies about imaginary safety.
The doctors that [treated] the wounded, they saw wounds like youd see in war. Thats not right. Military weapons should not be in the hands of civilians...
Where to start here dear Faith... Ok, you're an entertainer, but sensationalism doesn't belong in an adult discussion - unless you're trying to sway people with emotion when facts are not on your side. Faith, of course the doctors saw wounds like you'd see in war - that's what happens when people get shot. It doesn't matter if you're at a concert in Vegas, on a street in Chicago, or on patrol in Iraq - gunshot wounds are gunshot wounds. Stating it the way you did though Faith - that's pure theater. That marks you as not particularly serious or well-informed on this issue - when you're resorting to sensationalism.
The notion of "military" weapons should not be in the hands of civilians... Stupid on oh so many levels. What is a military person? Just a civilian with training (and who has made a commitment). Many of us "civilians" have had as much or more firearms training and practice as your average enlisted person. How about this - what is a "military" weapon? Is it features? I invite you to try to come up with a list. Is the designation based on whether similar firearms have ever been used by a military? {snort} That's virtually every firearm made - including your hubby's shotguns. Or think big picture, the Second Amendment is there to ensure we the people have exactly that - weapons to counter a threat to our freedom and liberty. Speaking of weapons, we develop the best possible weapons for our military, to make them as safe and effective as possible. When it comes to defending yourself and your loved ones (note Faith, most of us can't afford armed security like you) why wouldn't we want access to the same thing - weapons that are as effective as possible? Faith, you wouldn't buy a car with reduced capability air bags or seat-belts as merely "good enough" to protect your family, right? Same thing here darlin'.
We all want a safe country, the Wild One singer added.
Then why the {expletive} are you advocating for "gun control?" You're either a liar or terribly mis-informed. Gun control does not work it doesn't make us safer - just the opposite. Look at any place, cities, states, even entire countries that have enacted tough "gun control." You know what you'll find? Your MSM handlers won't tell you this but you'll find that rates of violent crime including rapes and murders increased and remained elevated after "gun control" laws made criminals safer.
Tim McGraw, reasserted his support for common sense gun control during the same interview...
That's just a lead in for incrementally disarming us. So called "gun control" - whether radical or "common sense" provably, demonstrably DOES NOT WORK. Guaranteed. So when your "common sense" measures predictably, inevitably don't work, they'll advocate for additional infringements. Lather, rinse, repeat. Eventually they'll achieve their goal - total (law abiding) civilian disarmament. Then we are at the mercy of the criminals and government. (was that redundant?) Real common sense gun control would be to repeal every single "gun control" law - every one.
In closing dear Faith, you really should just STFU on topics you so obviously know literally nothing about. Muss up your hair, put on a tight sweater dress and go sing and look pretty for the cameras. You are embarrassingly out of your depth when you try to talk about real issues.
...Actually I think the Geneva Convention wanted to ban shotguns from use in wars...
It was the German military in WWI. They didn’t like the Model 97 Winchester “trench gun” at all.
It was SCOTUS in the 1930’s that said shotguns had no military utility when the duo appealing their case failed to appear to defend their case. The Solicitor General won unopposed that day.
Want a safe country? Enforce the laws and bring back speedy public hangings for murders and serial rapists. Abolish public service unions at all levels of gov. If the public writes your pay check you can not be a union member.
I can’t name anything she has recorded, nor anything her husband has recorded.
Faith isnt talented. Her microphone does all that. /liberal logic
I started listening to country after 9-11 when I realized that while many artists in many genres were recording patriotic music, country artists were the only ones writing new music. Everyone else was just covering old stuff.
I enjoyed the story telling aspect of the genre. But between the liberalism and the advent of mindless bro-country, I’ve completely given up on it.
It’s gone completely formulaic and is frankly completely boring.
