GOP Senator John McCain has done this country and the people innumerable services for which we unreservedly thank him. But the Arizona lawmakers anti-Trump stance and vocal opposition to the Presidents practically every legislative proposal could jeopardize his reputation among the masses.
We could perhaps forgive him for his unreserved efforts toward killing Mr. Trumps long-planned and promised replacement of Obamacare, but thats where the people draw the line.
With Mr. Trump diligently working toward getting his tax reform passed, it may turn out that McCain could again play a decisive role in the bills future.
As Zero Hedge has reported, the tax reform is basically dead now that McCain, the third Republican so far, has announced his opposition to it.
The outlet goes on to say: Whats worse for the Trump administration, McCain reportedly wants the bill to receive input from both parties a criticism that he cited as his reason for voting against the Trump administrations plan to repeal and replace Obamacare. This is particularly problematic because theres approximately zero chance that any Democratic lawmakers will break ranks to vote with Republicans, despite President Donald Trump repeatedly saying that he expects to win over Democrats.
The Arizona Republican has reportedly said that the current legislation is DOA in an interview with Fox Business Charlie Gasparino.
"In recent weeks, John McCain has reiterated his demand that Republicans pass their tax plan through a bipartisan process that honors the norms of regular order. McCain voted down his partys Obamacare repeal bill precisely because it failed to meet this standard. And it will be impossible to pass the House plan or anything close to it through any but a rushed, secretive, partisan process", ZeroHedge adds.
Susan Collins said on Monday that she will not vote for the repeal of taxes on multi-million dollar estates, which the current legislation includes.
Bob Corker has also said that he would not back any tax measure that would further increase the debt, even in the first decade, where Congress would be allowed to do so. In its present form, the House plan would raise the deficit by about $1.5 trillion in the next ten years.
It is also uncertain whether the tax reform would pass the House in its current status. GOP legislators from Democratic states slammed Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady regarding additions in the legislation to revoke deductions to $500,000. Deductions for student-loan interests would also be terminated.
Hey, I got an idea, Juan. Why don’t you write a tax bill for yourself and your fellow Congressholes and then apply it to every American?
Lots of Cantorizing to do.
Alexander, Corker, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, Murkowsky, McCain, Rubio, Gardner, Burr, Tillis, Portman, McConnell, Thune, Cornyn, Cochran, Isackson, Blunt, Johnson, Toomey, Capito, Rounds, Fischer, Collins, Wicker, Sasse, Ernst, Lankford, Young, Boozman and Shelby are all undocumented Democrats in R jerseys.
Damn him to hell.
When is this sabotage going to stop?
90% of the people at his funeral will be Democrats.
Arizona , recall this fool on Medical Reasons
As DOA as a bunch of sailors on a flight deck there john? Oh, that’s right, you bore ZERO responsibility for that little kerfuffle. Fidiot.
DOA McCain? Hopefully you.
Petulance and vindictiveness are Juanitos hallmarks. Sad!
“GOP Senator John McCain has done this country and the people innumerable services for which we unreservedly thank him.”
First sentence is an absolute lie! The only thing I will “unreservedly thank him for,” is dying!
Death.....
Today
And all because Trump said he wasn’t a hero.
So, did McCain have a sudden miraculous healing from his Stage IV brain cancer? Or maybe it was just another scam of his to elicit sympathy?
Hey, Songbird. Do us all a favor and auger in.
Not interested in seeing this particular tax reform pass, but that being said, the GOP senate is nothing more than the familiars of their Democrat vampire masters.
And John, I can’t wait to celebrate the rapid cooling of your corpse.
The tax bill they are currently promoting deserves to die.
What a vindictive, petty man.
Even JFK knew that tax cuts create wealth.
Kinda has a ring to it. :)
What an A$$HOLE!..........................
McCain, if you're lurking here, it's not too late to get right with your maker.
You might want to think twice about being a vindictive, vengeful, selfish, arrogant old man. It's not a good look for anyone.
And the other 10% will be RINOs...............
