In the interwar years it was at Ft. Sill that the field artillery developed the devastating fire control procedures and tactics that would lead the Germans to fear American field artillery above all others in WWII.
Hi everybody!
(((HUGS)))
31V, class of 1980
That’s pretty amazing yarddog, thank you for sharing.
Very awe-inspiring work our Troops and Veterans do, every single day.
Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
Daddy thought the .88 was their most hated enemy weapon.
One night they were all sleeping in a barn. An .88 went right through both sides of the roof without exploding. If it had, they all would have been killed or seriously wounded.
One of his buddies had an .88 land only two feet from him and it did not go off. They considered those things miracles because all the others did go off.
All heck has broken loose here in the last 90 minutes and it is all hands on deck.
Thank you for the thread!

34Y in 1984.
Wandering around base one day I ran across the tombstone of Geronimo. Found it by accident, and it seems to have been moved since I stumbled across it all those years ago.
Howdy, lauren! Hope I managed to slip in before you have to head out for the night.
Took a quick run through the thread and it looks like quite a crowd of FReepers have spent time at Ft. Sill.
Thank you. When this is a about my sons’ work, I pay extra close attention. The other soon is on Seoul.
Howdy, PRO!
Have a good day? Get all your errands run this morning?

Ruh roh! That's not good, especially on a Monday! Good luck!
I got most errands run. My shopping schedule has changed a bit since I started working.
It's gonna dip into the teens here tonight, Brrr, son's coming over tomorrow to eat, (of course), and hang out. Not much else happening.
Your day went OK?
Howdy, LUV.
Hope you had a good day.
How’s Dulcie doing these days?
