CBS is reporting this right now. Five other charges were dropped because he pleaded guilty. One of those dropped was holding a gun at his wife’s head.
Someone needs to be fired
.
>> “Air Force should be tracking how that outrageous omission happened.” <<
Simple: CIA saw his value as a moral vacuum cylinder, and kept him clear to do as he pleased.
.
Follow up to my question...
Elsewhere I read that the POS had a Texas DPS permit as a Non-Commissioned Security Officer and was authorized to carry while on duty.
Un-freaking-real.
I wonder where and when he worked??
People are acting like he could not have gotten guns if he had failed the background check.
.
How do you fire the CIA?
.
There were plenty of red flags about this guy, should have been in an institution.
Background check system is full of holes, he should have been disqualified for multiple reasons:
“In New Mexico, Kelley was kicked out of the Air Force following a court-martial two years after he enlisted for abusing his wife and reportedly hitting her child hard enough to fracture his skull.
In Colorado, he was charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty after someone saw him punch a dog several times.
And in Texas, sheriffs deputies were called to his parents house after his girlfriend told a friend he was abusing her”.
To err is human. To really FUBAR requires government intervention.
So much for gun registration
This is why everyone who knows how government operates insists on being armed to the teeth.
Answer to my question. I do remember reading he worked at Schlitterbahn.
Texas church gunman Devin Patrick Kelley received a non-commissioned security officer registration from Texas Department of Public Safety that was issued on June 8, according to TOPS (Texas Online Private Security) records, via Texas DPS. The registration would have expired on June 8, 2019.Kelleys registration is affiliated with Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Resort. CNN has reached out to Schlitterbahn to determine if Kelley recently worked for the park, but has yet to hear back.

.
No es problema.
.
Track down that clerk and bust them down a couple ranks and explain he/she has blood on their lazy hands.
Time to go back through every file for the past 50 years to make sure there aren’t more failures.
.
Gun restrictions are for patriots and Christians only.
.
.
>> “to make sure there arent more failures.?” <<
What makes you think it wsa a “Failure?”
.
Oh wait! That never happened. Gosh, never mind.
Yes they really screwed up this time! His court Martial was in 2012. I wonder if this omission was related to the permissiveness of the Obama administration and his degradation of the US military?
This reminds me of what was discovered in the wake of the 1989 rampage at Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal. Gamil Gharbi (aka Marc Lepine) was given a Firearms Acquisition Certificate by a Montreal police department firearms officer who apparently failed to do the proper background check on him and that would have likely revealed that he was something of a drifter and that he was turned down by the Canadian Forces for mental instability. As a result, he was able to legally purchase the Ruger Mini 14 sporting rifle he used to commit his infamous, horrible act.
From the presser in the town of the shooting today, DPS rep stated his security guard permit was an UNARMED permit - no gun during duty.
“But Texas state denied him carry permit.
How?”
Because Texas is better.
