Reactions to the church shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas have broadly consisted of sympathy and calls for prayer for the victims and their families, but some prominent left-wing voices have taken the opportunity to politicize the incident. Some on the left have used the shooting to mock the concept of prayer and Christianity.

Following the shooting, a number of prominent media personalities, celebrities and liberal pundits took the effort to mock the concept of prayer and called for gun control.
Wil Wheaton, the washed-up liberal actor best known for "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and self-proclaimed "geek icon," attacked Paul Ryan, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, who was sharing a call for prayers for the people of Sutherland Springs.
"The murdered victims were in a church. If prayers did anything, they'd still be alive, you worthless sack of shit," wrote Wheaton.

They do candlelight vigils. What’s the difference?
YEP!
Is it not High Time for the People of this Country explicitly to declare, whether they will be Freemen or Slaves? It is an important Question which ought to be decided. It concerns us more than any Thing in this Life. The Salvation of our Souls is interested in the Event: For wherever Tyranny is establishd, Immorality of every Kind comes in like a Torrent. It is in the interest of Tyrants to reduce the people to Ignorance and Vice. For they cannot live in any Country where Virtue and Knowledge prevail. The Religion and public liberty of a People are intimately connected; their Interests are interwoven, they cannot subsist separately; and therefore they rise and fall together. For this Reason, it is always observable, that those who are combined to destroy the Peoples Liberties practice every Art to poison their Morals. How greatly then does it concern us, at all Events, to put a Stop to the Progress of Tyranny. Samuel Adams
Yeah....noted religious expert Will Wheaton whose career right now is a bit part on The Big Bang Theory.
Gun control will not survive a court challenge.
It reminds one of Voltaire’s reaction to the 1755 Lisbon earthquake, when numerous people sought safety in the city’s cathedral, only to have the cathedral collapse upon them.
I agree with his description of Ryan.
Netflix kicked “House of Cards” to the curb. They may have to do the same with “The Ranch.” Keep it up Will and you might single handedly get CBS’ #1 show, “The Big Bang Theory” cancelled. If there’s enough backlash over these sicko hollyweiros, we might get the industry cleaned up.
Calls for gun seizure start in 5 seconds.
I wish a swift trial and execution for the person guilty of this.
It started before the dead were counted.
In less than 24-hours, the hateful, godless liberals have slithered forth from the filthy sewers of the seaboard citadels to ridicule and marginalize white Christians following the Sutherland Springs mass killing. Would these same self-loathing, effete, gutless fairies ever say the same thing about Muslims, had a mosque been shot up instead of a Baptist church? Of course not. This is their opportunity to go after the same white heartland Americans who rejected their psychotic, criminal empress last November.
Meanwhile in Chicago, Baltimore, Cleveland, St. Louis, Oakland, Los Angeles, Camden, Memphis and other black enclaves, more people are murdered in a week than were killed in Sutherland Springs. So, what’s the difference? Blacks are a historically reliable monolithic Democrat voting block, who shall never, ever be criticized or held accountable by their liberal masters. That, of course, would be both racist and politically self-defeating -— regardless of the body count.
.
SHowing the atheism that they share with the shooter.
I wonder if Wheaton realizes that the gunman was an atheist who mocked Christianity too?
Yes, the ‘eloi’ will sit around and strum their lutes and dismiss those that would protect them as barbarians and ruffians and scalawags. Sad to say assclowns. There are ACTUAL bad people out there that couldn’t give two craps about any laws you pass. Making us into sheeple lessens your chance of survival.
Wil Wheaton Retweeted Wil Wheaton
Because I want to be sure sincere people of Faith see this: I spoke in anger, and I apologize to you.
Wil Wheaton added,
Wil WheatonVerified account @wilw Hey, real and actual people of faith: I hear you. I apologise for insulting you, in my rage at Paul Ryan's refusal to address gun violence.
And we’re supposed to somehow peacefully co-exist with people like this.
Pray that is so. If DJT can get more judges through the senate it will be a help but, the process sucks to get all the way to scotus. A ruling by one of the lowers can put things on hold for what seems like an eternity. Which to me is ass backwards.
How wise our Founders were about the dependance of liberty on religion. How ignorant godless moderns are.
