In response to queries from The Post, the Navy recently confirmed that it has been reviewing the conduct of 440 other active-duty and retired personnel — including 60 current and former admirals — for possible violations of military law or federal ethics rules in their dealings with Francis and his company, Glenn Defense Marine Asia.

That is double the number of admirals whom Navy officials said were under investigation last year (The Navy has about 210 admirals on active duty).

The caseload has grown as the Justice Department has given the Navy additional dossiers of individuals who did not meet the threshold for prosecution in civilian courts, but may have committed offenses under the military justice system, officials said.

Quality percentage affected by the culture of the US I’D say. We’ve as a country been promoting a society of low integrity for so long that its no surprise that generations have slipped into the admiralty at this point.

Zero integrity, follows into Zero reliability for so many basic things that make the USA great nation.

About one Admiral for every 2 ships in the Navy. Top Heavy is an understatement.

No kidding. We have roughly as many admirals as we have ships.

The corruption is utterly incomprehensible. Directing where carriers come and go? Hang the bastids.

The US Navy has about 300 ships in the active fleet.

But there are 210 admirals?

What am I missing?

Have the last few administrations (and the last one in particular) turned our military into a giant government department that is far more about having a good career than about defending the country?

The fish rots from the head down, during Obama, the fish had a very big head that was very rotten.

Rear Admiral Robert Gilbeau was the first active duty admiral in modern history convicted of a felony thanks to this scandal.

He was supplied Vietnamese hookers 2 at a time...

Nothing like having 60 flag officers under investigation for corruption in the hottest theater of operations.

Problem #1 is that we have 210 admirals in the navy. That’s practically one admiral for every ship. Ridiculous.

And we wonder why we have capital ships run by nitwits who can’t avoid colliding with far larger, less maneuverable tankers and container ships in clear weather and excellent navigating conditions. The rot starts from the head.
