PBS Analyst: If Dems Lose In Virginia, It'll Be 'Close to Civil War Within the Democratic Party'

With statewide elections on Tuesday in Virginia and New Jersey, the PBS NewsHour week-in-review segment strangely focused on Democrats for a change. Liberal analyst Mark Shields shocked PBS anchor Judy Woodruff by saying if Virginia’s Democratic candidate for governor, Ralph Northam, can’t defeat Republican Ed Gillespie with his alleged Trump baggage, there will be hell to pay:

MARK SHIELDS: I would say this, Judy. If, in fact, the Democrats lose on Tuesday in Virginia, that it will lead to — close to civil war within the Democratic Party.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Whoa.

SHIELDS: It will be — there will be reprisals between the Bernie — that Northam has run a very conventional, sort of cautious campaign, and that will be — and Bernie Sanders — Tom Perriello, the — his primary opponent on the other side, there will be questions that he had — the Democratic Party really didn’t stand — and 2016 all over again.

Too many votes in the richest counties in America around d.c. They know where their bread is buttered. Rural Virginians will suffer. But, with any luck, Gillespie will be able to do a victory lap in a certain pick up truck.

Nope...Perot took it away from Clinton, and Wallace took it away from Nixon (in 1968). But Reagan got over 50% DESPITE John Anderson (RINO running as independent) being on the ballot.

I’m looking forward to the show trials and the public shamings myself. This is one of those unforeseen consequences of the hard Left turn of the Democrats - that road ends with a bullet to the back of the head in the basement of the Lubyanka. Good times...

Vote Virginia! No poll is more relevant than the poll on election day. Make sure you choose wisely and make sure the demo-rats lose!

"It'll Be 'Close to Civil War Within the Democratic Party'"

The Democrats have worked hard to splinter their party into many distinct "offended/protected" groups. The individual groups should have no trouble developing their own uniforms and flags. Should be easy to them recognize their enemy on the battlefield.

I'm gonna pull out a lawn chair and watch the battle from a distance...

Last night my wife and I had dinner in a hotel in coastal Virginia. There were a bunch of democrats in the lobby with Northam buttons and signs. At first, I wondered if these were antifa youth? Turns out the DNC is hosting a get out the vote rally today. Most of the license plates in the hotel garage were from out of state. They are here to make the rally look well attended in the media and, for all we know, to vote in the election on Tuesday.

I need to go buy more popcorn. This civil war is going to be epic. I trust the Young Turks are in the middle of it.

And this is how the demo-rats roll. They have roving gangs who go around the country making it look like the demo-rats have wide support when they do not.

I am no resident of Virginia.

—”They MUST retain their virginity.”—

Are you saying that we must ignore that RINO’s are just leftist democrat phoneys? We should elect them because they call themselves Republicans or because they do not call themselves Democrats?

Or are you saying that this particular candidate is not in fact a RINO?

He’ll win the most counties, but amassing enough rural votes to counteract the huge numbers in the Northern and Tidewater areas will be vital.

Here’s praying Northam is boring enough to blunt those numbers.

Oh, and if you want to keep up Tuesday night, note that Gillespie will lead handily early on. Note the precinct numbers will be curiously absent in a number of Dem stronghold districts. Curiously absent until all other results are reported.

And, will wonders never cease, Gillespie’s lead will have vanished.

Ask George Allen about this phenomenon. It happened to Donald Trump just last year.

Well, if true, they would need to start figuring out where they went wrong.

The Dems will conclude they didn't go far enough left. These are people who believe in theory over observed reality.

I hate to admit it, but in these cases, the RINOs have us by the tail. Sure, these creeps will side with the Democrats on many occasions, but occasionally they stray to the right. The Democrats will ALWAYS toe the Party Line.

It's different in the primaries, as we have a distant chance, but too often, when the purist stance is taken, we get royally screwed.

I remember when McCain was up against J. D. Hayworth and I was having arguments with the purists then, backing Hayworth, warts and all, and getting jibed for it. My argument, somewhat tongue in cheek, was that Hayworth could be caught doing funny things with farms animals behind the barn and I would still vote for him, as the main thrust was to get rid of McCain. We could always throw Hayworth out in six years, but at least we had broken the chain. The purists backed McCain and look at what we got.

I see the same thing in Virginia with RINO Gillespie. We have redistricting coming up and we'd be better off with him than a Democrat, so why give them that opportunity by being chaste?

The time to take out RINOs is in the primaries. Never ever help elect a democrat. John McCain is the sole exception to this rule.

Obama is the best thing that ever happened to you if you oppose the democrats and their ideology

I predicted in 2008, that Obama would prove to be the best thing that ever happened to the Republican party and patriotic America.

And I was right. He pushed the country so far left, that the backlash resulted in the Dems losing over a thousand elections since 2010 to present.

If the Dems want to know how Donald Trump became president, they need look no further than Barack Obama.
