I certainly believe that FBI to the one we have now.
If it wasn't true, why would they bury it in the JFK files?

I have no idea why it was grouped with the JFK files. Strange. But I can see why it wasn't released earlier. No one wanted to release unproven dossier allegations against a black icon like MLK. Since it is not connected with JFK I am surprised Trump released it.
Whatever this country wishes were true about the progress made by the Civil Rights Movement, the Negro/black/Afro-American/African-American population back then was overall exponentially better off then it is now. I was alive then. There is no comparison. Johnson's Great Society programs of Medicare and the War on Poverty caused the death of the greatest medical system in the world and the rising black middle class.
There is nothing surprising thus reported about MLK. Joan Baez was one of the top folk singers in the U.S. Part of the free love generation, part of its in-crowd. She was also part of the Communist movement, like Pete Seeger. She'd see MLK as a heroic figure and he'd probably see her as what she was: a famous, successful, attractive, white fellow-traveler.
Need to update the Black History Month material in the schools.

The JFK, RFK, and MLK assassinations were investigated together by the HSCA, which is why this is in the file release.
What I make of it is it is going to make a lot of Blacks mad when they get up and around tomorrow.A lot of them were never taught this side of him. Those of us who lived through knew a lot of it already, just gets ugly when down in black and white ( no pun intended)

And just notice the one common denominator of virtually everyone getting busted for pedo and rape in Hollywood:

MLK’s name legally remained Mike King, it was only his minister father who legally his changed his name to Martin Luther King senior after a trip to Europe that had a profound effect on him.
MLK also plagiarized most of his first book Striding Towards Freedom and major parts of his PhD thesis were also plagiarized.
He often hired white prostitutes for secret bacchanals and he often beat them up.
