Yeah, that would really cause a firestorm.

But I know the president can find an AG better than Jeff Sessions.

I heard Klein tell Hannity that also. After McCain, Sessions is the RINO I would really see go, even ahead of the Turtle.

I read somewhere—don’t have a link—that in return for being the first senator to endorse Trump, being a surrogate, and for undivided loyalty, Sessions got his *choice* of positions. He chose AG.

Fwiw.

Report: Attorney General Jeff Sessions Recuses Himself From Uranium One Investigation

The facts behind this story expose it as the work of a sh!tty, fifth-rate "conservative" website engaged in the mass production of clickbait.

1. Rep. Matt Gaetz asks Jeff Sessions to appoint a special counsel to investigate the 2010 Uranium One deal and Fusion GPS (my emphasis).

2. Sessions tells Gaetz he couldn't discuss the matter because he had refused himself, then gets up and leaves the room.

3. This website "ConservativeDogHouse" or whatever the hell it calls itself blares a headline reporting that Jeff Sessions has recused himself from the Uranium One investigation. They make no mention of the Fusion GPS part of what Rep, Gaetz said.

IT'S THE FUSION ANGLE THAT PRECLUDES SESSIONS FROM DISCUSSING ANY OF THIS, BECAUSE IT RELATES TO THE 2016 CAMPAIGN AND IS COMPLETELY WITHIN THE PURVIEW OF MUELLER's INVESTIGATION.

No it’s not. President Trump should not resign — because what the previous poster said was NOT true.

If this is true, then the clintons have threatened him or his family or he is guilty of involvement in Clinton crimes.

Is that confirmed? Did shithead Sessions really refuse to setup a special counsel for Hillary because he doesn’t want the DOJ to “be political”?

Yes, that's what I believe Ed Klien said that he was told by his contact at the DOJ.

Congress won’t approve anyone who wants to clean the swamp because they ARE the swamp. This is why they approved one of their cronies.

I knew a lot of Freepers had collectively lost their minds when I started seeing suggestions that Chris Christie would be a much better AG.

I really like Christie as a governor, but the idea that he has any business within 150 miles of Washington D.C. is sheer lunacy. He's even worse than a Swamp Creature ... he's a creature looking for a Swamp to inhabit.

So,since Scott Pruitt, currently the head of the EPA, has previously been confirmed by the Senate, President Trump can simply move him laterally into the role of Attorney General without any resistance ?

If that is true, this is a brilliant solution to the Session’s dilemma.
