Trump: Many people are disappointed in the Justice Department, 'including me'

President Trump doubled down on his call for the Justice Department to investigate Democrats on Friday after a former Democratic National Committee chair acknowledged the party tipped the scales in Hilary Clinton's favor during last year's primary.

Trump told reporters outside the White House that he is “disappointed” in the Justice Department for not investigating Clinton, reiterating that he believes the agency should do something.

“I’m really not involved with the Justice Department. I’d like to let it run itself, but honestly, they should be looking at the Democrats," he said.

“They should be looking at Podesta and all of that dishonesty, they should be looking at a lot of things, and a lot of people are disappointed in the Justice Department, including me,” he said.

In an excerpt of her new book, former DNC chairwoman Donna Brazile wrote about a deal between Clinton’s 2016 campaign and the DNC aimed at keeping the party financially viable.

The deal wasn't illegal, Brazile wrote, but it "sure looked unethical." The former DNC chair said it “broke [her] heart” to find “proof” that the primary between Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) was rigged.

Trump has tweeted several times about the Democratic deal since an excerpt of Brazile’s book was published by Politico on Thursday, calling it “illegal” and bringing back his nickname for Clinton, “Crooked Hillary.”

If Sessions has recused himself from Uranium one, then Sessions is as useful as tits on a bull.

Please provide the required official DOJ statements of multiple recusals by Sessions. I can only find one.

Here's the second one that wasn't just about Russia, but about all matters Hillary.

Here is what I 100% believe. Nowhere does it state that Trump is going down.

Although, like Bannon, I don’t believe he can survive impeachment. He does not have a friends like Clinton did.

The carter page story is a nothing burger as I stated before. It’s the typical headline flash that doesn’t match the actual details in the story. Just like this session uranium recusal one. Guilt by innuendo and twist of statements. Yep. Misdirection For sure.

You are entitled to your opinion.

I don’t share it.

Welcome to the club. I am amazed at the lack of faith in President Trump and his appointments. AG Sessions was a very early supporter of Trump and has been steadfast throughout.

That’s why I can’t understand people saying Sessions wouldn’t recuse from Uranium One.

I am one of the few that still like him...and I absolutely think he would and should recuse himself.

Congress will NEVER approve of an aggressive AG, because they are afraid of legal action against their crimes.

I absolutely think he would and should recuse himself.

So Rosenstein, who is strongly suspected of deep sixing the original investigation, can be put in charge of it? Because that is exactly what has happened, and per Representative Geatz, Rosenstein's staff showed no interest in discussing it with him recently.

That is a separate issue.

You don’t do what you shouldn’t do just because of the guy behind you

I am saddened by the turn of events for Sessions

that said, I firmly believe no matter what side you are on or who you are..you do the crime..you do the time and/or pay the consequences.

Sessions may have left himself enough wiggle room...but even so..the hotter it gets the more people in Congress may abandon him.

As AG, it’s his responsibility to ensure laws are enforced. Rosenstein has an obvious conflict of interest in any potential re-investigation, and therefore Sessions willingly passing the responsibility back to him is a dereliction of duty.

He should have appointed a separate special prosecutor, which would still allow him to satisfy his want/need of personal recusal. The fact that he didn’t smells like a oontinued coverup of the issue.

No, actually the people who are supporting what President Trump said are the ones showing faith.

He said...

Your position would be the faithless one.

I noticed that you correctly used the word "re-investigation".

Mueller's FBI investigated the deal for four years. And then the FBI investigated after that to, up to the point where Rosenstein indicted and gave easy plea deals to a couple of low level operators.

“I’ve talked to people who were in the room and they don’t remember him saying anything like this. The subject was discussed so maybe someone misconstrued what he said. I can’t comment on recusal issues though because to do so would confirm or deny the existence of an investigation,” she said in a statement to Breitbart News.

Gee, sounds like it is being investigated.

Either there is something going on behind the scenes, or Trump is really stupid. Which do you suppose is more likely?
