Grover Norquist: Republican tax bill is an amazingly powerful job creation measure (Wrong!)
Fox News ^ | November 2, 2017 | Grover Norquist

The new rates would be 0 percent, 12 percent, 25 percent, 35 percent and 39.6 percent. Yes, the top rate would still be the same as what we have now...

Business taxes that are now at 35 percent for American companies – one of the highest rates in the world – would fall to 20 percent immediately. China is at 25 percent. Canada is at 15 percent. Britain at 18 percent.

These numbers are garbage.

This is the Paul Ryan plan.

The Fair Tax is so much better.

That may be. The reality is we can get part of a loaf or we can get none. I’ll take the half a loaf and then get to a flat tax or fair tax later.

And you are I’ll traned if you think that lowering corporate rates won’t help with job growth

The Fair Tax is so much better.

A fair tax is never going to happen. People don't want taxes they can do on a postcard. They want credits and deductions.

"25 percent, 35 percent and 39.6 percent"

These numbers are slavery.

This is the Paul Ryan plan.

It is the President Donald J. Trump plan. Trump is promoting it. He wants to simplify the tax code and reduce business taxes. That's the main thing this iteration accomplishes. Cutting business taxes from 35% to 20% will stimulate economic growth and grow jobs.

It’s really sad how gullible or downright deceiving these folks are.

This is a subterfuge bill. At least it looks that way to me.

Sure would like to be proven wrong.

when you look at who Obama picked and who Trump picks, there’s a weird difference. The ones Trump picks can be seen as investments where Obama’s were pure expense.

We are still mostly a capitalist country and reducing corporate taxes to this magnitude will release vast new amounts of capital like we haven't seen in our lifetimes.

Growth will be off the charts and wages will soar.

Tax collections will go way up.

Progress on debt reductions is possible if we can start electing patriots instead of uniparty crooks.

some of us have worked our Asses off to get over the 1.5k mark and that is the best we can do. Fifty percent of our income has been taken to pay for useless
scumbags and redundant programs the have existed for umpteenth hundred years.
Richard Branson can have parties with Paul Allen..but We cannot keep our money?

Ryan is Eddie Munster

So you make what? $1,500 a year? Maybe you mean $150K a year. They are doubling the standard deduction. Unless you live in a blue state it should not be a major increase in taxes. I see you live in Massachusetts in which your problem is not Donald Trump but the location you have chosen to live. You have much bigger problems than this tax plan.

Unfortunately what Trump's plan will do is pit red state pubs vs blue state pubs. It's already happening at this site. Blue staters are ticked off and I understand that. Not sure how this plays out politically for Trump assuming he gets it passed.

"Maybe you mean $150K a year. They are doubling the standard deduction."

Probably very few people who make $150K take the standard deduction.

Something that will never pass isn’t better, it’s nothing.

This bill is pretty darn good and I’ll take it and do very well under it. It open up a lot of options.

THIS IS A NO LOAF PLAN. The tax rates will reduce the revenue by less than 1 trillion. However, eliminating and reducing the deductions will increase revenues by 1.5 billion. The numbers don't add up. In the end almost everyone will see higher tax bills.

Awalys watch the other hand. Distraction. Houdini was a piker compared to these guys.

Not one word about cutting the budget.

I swiped this quote from the Mises.org web site:

Colbert: "The art of taxation consists in so plucking the goose as to obtain the largest amount of feathers with the least amount of hissing."
