So the Steele dossier was bought cheap. What did the other $12 million pay for?
American Thinker ^ | 11/02/2017 | Monica Showalter

Fusion GPS, the Washington "opposition research" smear firm, produced its salacious "dossier" on President Trump on the cheap, paying only $168,000 to an oddly-chosen British subcontractor to falsely depict Trump as a "golden showers" pervert in Moscow hotel rooms.

Democrats, Clinton, the media and the Obama administration have repeatedly lied and refused to disclose information about the infamous "golden showers dossier".

Now, it seems the lying has just begun. How was Comey and the FBI involved? What was Fusion GPS really doing with over $12 million from the DNC?

What was Obama's role in this?

This is what I’ve been asking.

I have to assume that the money has taken a circuitous route back into the pockets of people whose names we know.

Another question is how much DNC money did the Clinton siphon off into their personal accounts.

If elected, no one would be aware of the embezzlement but she lost and inquiring minds want to know.

Perhaps this explains the all out war with President Trump. They say the best defense is an strong offense. She has been directing this war on the President to keep others from looking into her criminal acts.

The DNC is in debt. Perhaps they should file a police report and have their asserts frozen until a clear accounting can be done.

Finally - Mrs. Clinton Wednesday night acknowledged the dossier was financed by her campaign and the Democratic National Committee. ( I haven't found the exact quote and where it was made, yet )
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/nov/2/hillary-clinton-defends-trump-dossier-opposition-r/

I just read an excerpt of Donna Brazile's book "Hacks" (linked on drudge) and it is way more revealing than it seems.

Based on what I'm reading (assuming it's true)
That Clinton didn't know about the DNC or Hillary campaign financing the dossier is almost impossible.
Certainly Gary Gensler, the chief financial officer of Hillary’s campaign knew.

Combine that in light of what Hillary just said...
why is Mueller still going after Pres. Trump's people ?

++++
Careful. As I read it the $12 million went to the LAWYER. How much of that went on to Fusion GPS is still unknown (AFAIK).

Donna Brazile says the DNC was broke.

In fact it was so broke it depended on the Clinton campaign to fund it while the democratic primaries were still going on, under an agreement that the Clinton campaign would control the DNC messaging etc in exchange of the funding. In other words Bernie Sanders got rolled over.

SO... if it was so broke.. how and where the 12 million come from? how could they justify spending so much?

This thread is confusing. Some clarification might be helpful:

1. I believe the $12 million was paid from the DNC to the law firm (Perkins Coie).

2. A report I saw last week suggested that $9 million was paid from the law firm to Fusion GPS.

3. Of this $9 million, the article at the top of this thread suggests that $168,000 was paid to the guy Steele for his work on the "Trump dossier."

This doesn't tell us anything about: (A) where the other $3 million of the money paid from the DNC to Perkins Coie went (presumably this was PC's legal fees?); or (B) what Fusion GPS did with the other $8.632 million they got from Perkins Coie.

The whole thing reeks of a money-laundering operation -- which may even be a bigger deal than the "Trump dossier" itself. I can't think of any legitimate reason why a political campaign would be paying operatives through a law firm like this.
