But if you know any prosecutor..ask them if potential perps can think they are in the clear when in reality the investigation is ongoing or even about to be arrested.

I think most of us felt that way, did we not? But what I've seen lately from that bunch is a shrill insistence that Mueller and Rosenstein were colluding with Trump, all along, to take down Hillary. With no actual evidence of this, that I could see, other than Trump promised a special prosecutor during the campaign. The fable also claims that Manafort was working for Podesta, so Podesta would therefore be the primary indictment today, with Manafort simply swept up in the process as an underling to the Podesta's.
None of this appears to be correct, starting with all the reports from the start that The Podesta Group was actually working for Manafort, not the other way around. I along with many others have been saying all along this "Mueller is a hero" claim looks like a crackpot theory that ensnared a lot of Freepers who didn't do their own due diligence, and got swept up in false hope. Either that or it's been a liberal psyop operation that may have even targeted FR since I've not seen this particular theory pretty much anywhere else.
At least that's my estimation of where we are, and how we got here. If someone has any concrete evidence that Mueller is actually investigating Hillary, I'll be happy to see it, but so far it's been nothing but far fetched fantasy, and they should probably be working in their apologies to the board instead.

I think “defraud” was used in regard to Manafort’s failure to pay taxes on huge sums. The indictment also referred to Manafort’s “lavish living” which struck me as bizarrely editorial in a legal document.

On the other side you have a whole bunch of people — probably a large majority here on FR — who insist that Mueller is part of some deep conspiracy to destroy President Trump. Apparently it never occurs to them that Mueller might just be a Federal prosecutor doing his job.

I frequently mentioned that real estate is used to launder money. I cant look at the indictment right now but look to see if any properties to be forfeited involve his son in law.
I remember a thread that brought up mortgages and people thought it was not relevant. It is. You can launder money through mortgages. That bankruptcy involves a curious mortgage company.

Well that is where all the actual evidence seems to lead, starting with the President's own bombastic tweets, is it not? Who are we supposed to believe, the man there to drain the swamp, or the swamp creature who covered up Fast and Furious, the IRS targeting, the Uranium sale to Russia, just to name a few?
This whole fable seems intent on trying to lend desperately needed credibility to Mueller, while setting Trump up to appear weak and ineffective for not countering him better. It's just been rammed down our throats way too hard to think there's not some motive to the story itself.
