Yep, it’s not just ticket sales and TV viewers. It includes sale of team gear, concessions/parking (both huge ripoffs), and pressure from local businesses as restaurant/ bars and lodging establishments lose business.

I know that. But if people are losing money selling Jets tickets on the secondary market, do you think they’re going to renew their season tickets for next season?

I think you have a point. I mean while the price may not drop to dollars, the people buying the ads are not pushovers and will have an upper hand in negotiations to pressure the price to drop given recent events. There could even be the response of “Why would I pay this much to possibly be seen as anti-American?” Not saying it will go that far but there is potential.

It’s quite obvious when watching the game that they’re being VERY careful with camera angles.

Its not ticket sales that funds the NFL, its tv dollars. When their ratings keep dropping, those dollars will too and eventually the owners will have had enough. For me, I’d rather watch paint dry than one of their games.

< I noticed that the camera angles were real tight and did not really stray from the actual field. I assumed that the league didnt want me seeing the crowd size. >
As a kid I remember watching pro wrestling before it got big. Other than big name championship matches held at MSG, most matches were held at much smaller venues like the old Sunnyside Gardens in Queens, the Commack Arena on Long Island, the Olympic Auditorium in LA, the Hesterley Armory in Tampa, places that had at most a 1500-2000 seat capacity. The cameras would be positioned in such a way to make these places appear larger and more crowded than they actually were. I would expect the NFL to try and pull off similar stunts for the rest of their dismal season.

< So the Leauge of Thugs promote Gun Control... Thats HILARIOUS! >
LMAO! That's rich! How many of the NFL thugs who run afoul of the law are charged with illegal gun possession charges? And isn't it peculiar that the gun control groups never take the NFL to task over this? After all, the players are role models for "our children ". But that would screw up the NRA is racist narrative, wouldn't it?

“I think those suffering in silence are those outfits who sell sports paraphernalia (and Christmas is right around the corner), and food vendors - in and outside of the stadium).
Collateral damage so to speak.”

Yeah, so — see — for this crew, spouting opposition to the 2nd Amendment isn’t politics; it’s PENNANCE.

Since I’m not a football fan(although I am interested in this issue) I guess my ignorance is showing. I thought Tennessee was a college team.

That 2nd one is really telling. In the foreground, left side, there’s literally front row seats empty. In the first 12 rows there’s a ton of empty seats. And this isn’t the nosebleed seats, it’s right down front.

I thought Tennessee was a college team.Like most of the deep south, we love our college teams but would watch the mercenaries on Sunday to see if "our boys" who graduated did well.
Well now I don't care about Sundays at all.
Go you number #1 Dawgs!
