Mueller facing a historic legal blowback
americanthinker.com ^ | 10/29/2017 | Ed Timperlake

That is what makes a real tragedy of then-FBI director Mueller's apparent willful blindness in allowing his FBI to be slow-rolled in making a case against Russian criminals who were moving yellow-cake uranium (U1) out of U.S. control and safeguards. The radioactive half-life of uranium products being processed into reactor rods is four million years. Breathe it in and die.

So when Robert Mueller was selected as special counsel, he knew what he had done -- even if the yellowcake crimes had not yet been made public. An honorable man would have turned down the assignment. Furthermore, his connection to James Comey makes his judgmental failure in accepting his appointment even more tragic for the rule of law in America.

His legal team leaking on Friday the fact that indictments will be handed down on Monday smacks of desperation. If they were not condoned by the special counsel, then that is why God invented the polygraph – to stop such leaks.

“Adult and professional writers resist such child like impulses.”

Well I sure as hell am an adult, but I don’t claim to be a “professional writer,” because those a$$holes are really at the root of all of our present-day political problems. Anyway, that’s why it’s called “Free” Republic, no one is forcing you to read anything anyone writes here. BTW, I was a “sophomore” in 1957. And FWIW you “detract” from your own “credibility” by even choosing to write what you did.

How was Mueller selected as special counsel, and who chose him? Was it because of his involvement with U1 and he would make sure the investigation didn’t go there?

We’ll see. I’ve been dead on about this for months.

Now the fallback around here is “Well, we KNEW Mulehead wasn’t going after Trump but was protecting x.”

BS. You ALL were squealing that Mulehead was after Trump.

Now it’s very, very clear. He isn’t after Trump or anyone close to him at all. The lines go straight to the Podestas, then Comey, then Cankles, then finally Zero.

Lots of jet flights to the private island. Who knows the depth of the perversity that the swamp in DC has become.

I’m buoyed by the belief that there exists a divine boomerang effect over President Trump. Whatever weapon or trap set against him seems to come back to hit or ensnare the guilty transgressors instead.

Agreed.

If that were the case, someone in the swamp would've figured that out by now, and the caterwauling by the left would be ear-splitting.

Color me skeptical. I have had no doubt Mueller was hired to take Trump down.

Still, I hope you’re right.

Judge Jeanine Pirro is peed off at Rosenstein for his influence in picking Mueller as the SP when he was involved in the Uranium 1 fiasco.

I lost faith in Trey Gowdy a long time ago.

Trump hired him.

So Trump hired his own headsman.

So you must think Trump incredibly stupid.

” In essence, in front of a judge, put him and his team on trial. Discovery can work both ways.”

Won’t the “fruit of the poisoned tree” rule kick in at any trial if any evidence entered comes via surveillance made possible by a fraudulently obtained FISA warrant?

Trey Gowdy also says that he believes not one person in Chris Wallace’s audience could name a single thing that Bob Mueller has done wrong in his career. We need to give him a chance to do his job.
I was yelling at my TV and thinking I should go to Trey’s Twitter account...but I’m sure it’s a waste of time and energy, and an exercise in experimenting with how well my blood pressure medication works.

What?

FYI:

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/17/us/politics/robert-mueller-special-counsel-russia-investigation.html

“WASHINGTON — The Justice Department appointed Robert S. Mueller III, a former F.B.I. director, as special counsel on Wednesday to oversee the investigation into ties between President Trump’s campaign and Russian officials, dramatically raising the legal and political stakes in an affair that has threatened to engulf Mr. Trump’s four-month-old presidency.

The decision by the deputy attorney general, Rod J. Rosenstein, came after a cascade of damaging developments for Mr. Trump in recent days, including his abrupt dismissal of the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, and the subsequent disclosure that Mr. Trump asked Mr. Comey to drop the investigation of his former national security adviser, Michael T. Flynn.”

DOJ did the hiring.

DOJ did the hiring . . . the day after he interviewed with Trump for a job he couldn’t hold.

Um hum.
