BREAKING: FIRST CHARGES FILED IN MUELLER INVESTIGATION (CNN)

Washington (CNN) — A federal grand jury in Washington, DC, on Friday approved the first charges in the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller, according to sources briefed on the matter. The charges are still sealed under orders from a federal judge.

Plans were prepared Friday for anyone charged to be taken into custody as soon as Monday, the sources said.

It is unclear what the charges are. A spokesman for the special counsel's office declined to comment.

Mueller was appointed in May to lead the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Under the regulations governing special counsel investigations, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who has oversight over the Russia investigation, would have been made aware of any charges before they were taken before the grand jury for approval, according to people familiar with the matter.

On Friday, top lawyers who are helping to lead the Mueller probe, including veteran prosecutor Andrew Weissmann, were seen entering the court room at the DC federal court where the grand jury meets to hear testimony in the Russia investigation.

Reporters present saw a flurry of activity at the grand jury room, but officials made no announcements.

Mueller is authorized to investigate "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation," according to Rosenstein's order.

The special counsel's investigation has focused on potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, as well as obstruction of justice by the President, who might have tried to impede the investigation.

CNN reported that investigators are scrutinizing Trump and his associates' financial ties to Russia. Mueller's team has also examined foreign lobbying conducted by former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, and others. His team has issued subpoenas for documents and testimony to a handful of figures...

This is the Clintons’ counterattack to the dossier and uranium news. This is a war and Mueller is fighting on Clinton’s side.

Question if the indictment(s) are tied to the lifting of the gag order.

Could also suggest Manafort ... was he gagged?

FLASHBACK:

http://nypost.com/2017/08/10/paul-manafort-searching-for-a-new-lawyer-amid-mueller-probe-source/

Donald Trump’s ex-campaign manager, was looking to replace his top lawyer after the FBI raided his Virginia home in a pre-dawn raid last month, The Post first reported on Thursday.

He will hire Miller & Chevalier, a small D.C. tax-focused law firm, to represent him, according to a report.

Manafort had primarily been represented by Reginald Brown of WilmerHale — the same DC law firm that employed Robert Mueller until he was appointed special counsel in May to investigate allegations that Trump colluded with Russia in the election.

Mueller was told to get a move on to blunt the daily bombshells against the Democrats.

So basically what does that mean..that no charges will be filed on Monday..that Mueller wants to show everyone he is “Impartial” by filing charges against Manafort AND the Podesta brothers to show that hes an impartial guy and a straight shooter?

NO !!

He files charges on almost anyone, most likely Manafort, Since Manafort is connected to Podesta and Trump and Russia.

What it does however, is keep the witnesses, his witnesses from testify before any other investigative body since there is an “Ongoing Criminal” trial being prosecuted by Mueller.

He effectively silences them.

A caller to Brian Kilmeade’s show the other day suggested that Mueller et al were hired by Rosenstein to clean the mess up, shred all the evidence and exonerate the DemocRATS!

That is the best theory I have yet heard!

Mueller works for America now. Trump will give him full protection to do his job.

Clinton regime is over. Time to move slowly so as not to freak out the libtards.

Everybody here wants justice yesterday but a national conciseness does not happen overnight.

“I like Sean Hannity but is anyone sick of the tick tock BS I mean it gets annoying after a while..does he know anything or just likes to say tick tock”

No not at all. He has been spot on unlike Glenn Beck. I think his latest tick tock was evidence of wide spread unmasking coming out tonight.

I once heard a conversation between a couple of people in the radio business who worked for a radio station in the same building as me. The talk radio hosts who worked at that station included some of the biggest names in the business.

One of the things these guys mentioned was that throwing out teasers to an audience to give them hints about a "breaking story" that is coming up in the next hour, next day, etc. is considered highly amateurish in the radio and TV news business. If you're a radio or TV news host and have an 'effing story to break, then break the 'effing story instead of turning it into a theatrical performance.
