(CNN)After President Donald Trump repeatedly referred to her as a "wacky Congresswoman," Rep. Frederica Wilson fired back on Sunday morning, saying that the ambush in Niger that left four US soldiers dead "is (Trump's) Benghazi" and demanding an apology to "the nation" from White House chief of staff John Kelly. "Niger is @realDonaldTrump's Benghazi. He needs to own it," the Florida Democrat tweeted. Wilson and Trump have traded barbs for nearly a week on the controversy stemming from the President's condolence call to Myeshia Johnson, the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, one of the soldiers killed in the ambush in Niger earlier this month.

re: Benghazi, No, President Trump does not “have” nearly all the documents and info, the vast bureaucracies are very adept at burying stuff, and staffers have moved on, left govt etc. That’s why I said “demand” — he has to light a fire under all of the relevant departments and make clear that no more Benghazi stonewalling or obfuscation will be tolerated. Any bureaucracy can be very resistant to oversight, and after years of Obama et al. there are many stones to turn over.
She has managed the impossible — landing a body blow on her own bad self.
Looks like she will get more air time than the slaughter at Las Vegas and it looks like CNN thinks she is a bigger story than Las Vegas.
I bet progressives (esp. Obama and Obama Co.) cringe every time Wilson mentions “Trump’s Benghazi”.
Before you know it, that Wilson becomes too much of an embarrassment for them, she might develop some ‘strange illness’ or ‘strange incident’.

True enough. But as POTUS, he can bludgeon the recalcitrant with his personality and the powers of his office. The documents are buried because Obumus made it clear that he wanted them buried. Bureaucrats have lifelong jobs and survive many a POTUS. Bury the documents, they would. Shred them, they wouldn’t dare, because that would call for jail time, or even worse, dismissal for cause. Nobody’ll do that for a previous administration once it’s about to become previous.

IOW, as much as he left wants this to be “Trump’s Benghazi” it is neither.

Why post a three day old story that is tired and no one cares anymore ?

Has he promised the parents of the fallen that he’ll get the guy who made that youtube video yet?
Was he using a US embassy in Niger to run guns to paramilitary “insurgent” terrorists to destabilize the government there?
Was he doing this on behalf of a foreign lobbyist?
Did he boldly decry all questions about the matter and say “what difference does it make at this time anyhow?”
Did it happen on the anniversary of 9-11?
Other than all that I could see how it’s just like Benghazi.
