WASHINGTON, D.C.—Conservatives are increasingly frustrated over the slow pace of the Senate’s confirming President Donald Trump’s judicial nominees, and are calling for swift action from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

Per Article II of the Constitution, every federal judge must be nominated by the president and then confirmed by the Senate. Nine months into the president’s term, a Senate controlled by the president’s party has confirmed only seven nominees out of 56, including one Supreme Court nomination.

The 2018 election will be Trump vs the Senate. Anyone who does not sign onto the President’s agenda is going to be challenged, whether the incumbent is a Dem or Republican. Americans are seeing major economic achievements in just 9 months. They want Trump’s tax cuts and job growth and those Republicans who won’t support this growth agenda need to be toppled.

But some 9-10 more have been blue-slipped by the Ds.

In other words, Yertle is the ONLY thing holding these up.

(And when confirmed, Trump will set a record with Circuit Court judges confirmed in first year).

When will people understand that Mitch's job is to serve the UniParty, not the people of the United States. The UniParty was expecting Hillary to win, not Trump. When Trump won, they instructed Mitch and Paul to obstruct, obstruct, obstruct. That is what has been happening. It's a shame that folks are still gobsmacked.

Trump started off trying to work with these subversives, but thanks be to God he's learned a lot this year.

Losing patience quickly? Good grief....we’re coming up for one year! That’s like the 14 month “rush to war”.

The President didn’t send judicial nominees to the Senate until this past June.

Sen Grassley heads the Judiciary Committee and there are some weak Republican votes (McCain, Collins, etc.). It could be that Sen McConnell is risk averse and afraid of losing a vote.

Grassley is the one allowing this blue slip nonsense, time for him to set that aside.

Yep - but he must be feeling some pressure - he was sure to mention they will pass a few more when his ugly face showed up on TV after the luncheon with Trump yesterday....
