President Donald Trump says he doesn't plan to block the scheduled release of thousands of never publicly seen government documents related to President John F. Kennedy's assassination. "Subject to the receipt of further information," he wrote in a Saturday morning tweet (Oct. 21), "I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened."
The National Archives has until Thursday to disclose the remaining files related to Kennedy's 1963 assassination in Dallas....

I am just now learning something the AMERICAN MEDIA has kept very quiet. I knew MLK Jr. plagiarized his speech and some other works. What I didn't know was that one of his very close associates (a guy named Abernathy, IIRC) said was that the night before he died, MLK Jr. was with at least two or three women...and he smacked one of them around. I wonder if the JFK assassination files have info about MLK Jr. like this in it--not that MLK was involved, but that discussions about him may have taken place among the officials "in the know".
Ralph Abernathy ?
Dixie Mafia/Marcellos
That would be the Reverend Ralph Abernathy, who later turned from the left to become much more reasonable. And yes, the details of what MLK did at the Lorraine motel the night before he was killed are rather salacious. MLK was no saint.
I’ll be interested see what is contained in the release, If anything, regarding the 11/3/63, (Chicago), and the 11/18/63, (Tampa), sniper assassination plots against JFK that were both broken up by the SS.
Well, as we all know, everybody loves a conspiracy. Many will pour over these documents to find the non-existent conspiracy and if they dont find it theyll just say its not there because of the conspiracy.
Was that where some folks got a quote (can’t quote it on a family-friendly website) where Mike King (some say his real name, never changed) made some rather crazy statements about his indiscretions?
I hope the release is un-redacted. Few things are, these days.
It will be interesting if the files have documentation on the dogs who didn’t bark. Of all versions of that day’s events, nobody in public seems to want to discuss the dogs that did not bark.
More recently it didn't go well at all for Qaddafi who had similar plans. Wonder where his gold is, or for that matter ours?
Similar to the plot in the Burt Lancaster film. I think they made it oil barons in that one. Been a while.
“Executive Action” I believe it was.
The CIA will get scrutiny, whether they were involved or not. That's long overdue.
Please explain...
Wise move by President Trump; he will be seen as unlocking the truth (that Democrats and Republicans hid from us) for the American people.
They asked him not to go ahead with a protest against some lame duck (Bull Connor?), MLK did, and the Kennedys took it as an embarrassing political insult.
An astute point. Some think release of these files will somehow reveal the meat on who killed JFK. I would be surprised if we learned much more. The delays may have had more to do with political concerns.
To your specific point -- if the dems were releasing the files they would redact any unflattering passages. However Trump has no dog in this fight. I would think he would let 'er rip with the exception of any legitimate security concerns which should be almost non-existent by now.
Somehow, the press will spin this that Trump is responsible for the JFK assisination.
I hope to see the truth.
