At the end of their lengthy editorial regarding the new Uranium One revelations -- "Team Obama's stunning coverup of Russian crimes" -- the New York Post editorial board writes:
Until September 2013, the FBI director was Robert Mueller whos now the special counsel probing Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Its hard to see how he can be trusted in that job unless he explains what he knew about this Obama-era cover-up.
I'll go the Post one better. Virtually whatever Mueller has to say about his involvement or non-involvement in this metastasizing scandal, he must recuse himself immediately for the most obvious reasons of propriety and appearance. Frankly, it's outrageous that he, Ron Rosenstein, or anyone who even touched the Uranium One investigation now be involved with the current probe -- unless the real name of the FBI is actually the NKVD. This is not how a democracy is supposed to work, even remotely. Forget transparency -- this was deliberate occlusion.

“Uranium One, we have a problem”.
SINCE HE MAY ACTUALLY BE INDICTED FOR IT, YES I THINK SO
There’s serious, credible evidence that Meuller was directly involved in the same conduct he is ostensibly investigating. Can there be a clearer conflict of interest?
This does create some interesting scenarios...where you are being prosecuted and drop some four-line piece in front of the judge that you might know about some Russian thugs in US affairs and it’s connected to Mueller. At that point, the judge will probably halt the episode and try to find some way to dismiss the case.
All of this just makes me wonder if Trump knew this problem existed and had Sessions intentionally pick Mueller to get to this stage and be forced to resign while the Russia thing encompasses him.
Rosenstein’s presence in that position is really beginning to astound me now. Sessions seems to believe R is ethical but the facts aren’t supporting it.
Who named Mueller to the Special Prosecutor job?
Answer: Ron Rosenstein.
Who handed Ron Rosenstein that authority?
Answer: Jeff Sessions.
So is Jeff Sessions just an idiot or part of the swamp? Or both? I’m starting to wonder if it’s not the latter.
But he won’t, nor will Rosenstein. Sessions is neutered or complicit, too. This is really a dangerous conspiracy to protect the Clintons and Obama and get Trump at any cost to the Republic. We are rapidly running out of solutions within the existing legal systems. It will take a miracle, now, to avoid the swamp replacing the will of the people with a facade of democracy while really running a soft totalitarianism.
Mueller needs to report to Florence and bring the Clintoons, Comey, McCabe and Rosenkrantz along with him.
Question: If Mueller resigns from the Trump/Russia investigation, wouldn’t all the people he hired to aide him in the current investigation immediately go with him?
Statist Rip van Sessions is under control of the Deep State running JustUs. Trump needs to get him some MAGA assistants.
Bob Mueller ate the yellow snow.
In your dreams! The Swamp Creatures are not about to destroy themselves. It would have to be person, not from DC, not from an Ivy League school, and absolutely not a Democrat in charge before any legal action is taken,
I’ve been thinking the same thing.
Should but won’t.
Trump should use this to kill Mueller’s investigation. They’ve been investigating for two years in various ways and have no real evidence but are using it to discredit the President ... and now we know to distract and cover up Clinton’s actual criminal acts.
Time for Jeff to remove his blinders.
The most straightforward way to force Mueller’s hand is for the DOJ to assign a special prosecutor to investigate the Uranium One case. Mueller falling under investigation for his role in a deal with Russia involving kickbacks, etc. would essentially force his recusal.
Mueller “the 10oz uranium bagman”. Wonder what brought back on the return trip?
Mueller, Rosenstein, McCabe...
