On Wednesday Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) asked Attorney General Sessions if Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will be allowed to investigate himself regarding new information on the Hillary Clinton Uranium One scandal.

Attorney General Sessions said it was up to him.

“It would be his decision, he is a man of integrity and ability,” Sessions said. “If he feels that he has an inability to proceed with this investigation, it would be his responsibility to make that determination and should consult as I told you I would, as I have done, with the senior ethics committee at the department.”

Sessions, Rosenstein was in charge of the Russian Uranium probe for DOJ. He HAD to know about that FBI investigation that was squelched. I can only conclude that someone has dirt on Sessions and it's really, really bad news.

Is Sessions the clown that's been wandering around frightening children everywhere? Wouldn't be surprised. He seems incapable of any other action. What a waste of a salary.

Does anyone know if it was Sessions advising Trump to ‘adjudicate’ the lower courts unconstitutional power-grabs & rulings through the courts?

I wouldn’t doubt it.

I also felt let down at first, but on reading what he said, I think he was very smart. He said basically, “If it were me I would go before senior ethics officials” It almost came off as an afterthought, but in a very diplomatic way he said the ethic will be investigated.

Sessions is up against a totally and completely corrupted Congress. He knows them better than anyone else... and they are the worst bunch of leakers on God's green earth.

Trump and Sessions are both smart men and I have believed from the beginning that they are on the same wavelength and playing a very long game. Their overly-public “rift” back in the Spring was so exaggerated and overly public that it had to have been contrived, and I sense a similar strategy now afoot with Sessions’s apparent nonchalance about and Rosenstein and McCabe. Trump has a history of giving his enemies enough rope to hang themselves, and he has enjoyed supernatural protection for the past two years. If Sessions is a rat, Trump will fire him. If Sessions and Trump are playing a longer game, we won’t know until their traps have been sprung. My benefit of the doubt is with President Trump.

This is like telling a convicted bank robber, “We’ll let you decide whether or not you will serve time”.

Jeff Sessions is obviously scared to death of crossing the Clintons, thus the ruling establishment. If he won’t uphold the law as AG then he needs to resign or be fired.

The only question is, was Sessions’s secret impropriety financial or sexual? Because he is owned.

Exactly so and every single poster, who delusionally posts that he has a plan, is smarter than we are, etc., is just to damned dumb to tie their own shoelaces!

There are supposed" conservatives" on our side, who talk a good game and then run away and hide, as they cry hysterically in a corner and NEVER do a damned thing!

THAT'S WHY TRUMP IS SO APPEALING AND NEEDS TO CRACK THE WHIP MORE !

I kinda miss Eric Holder.

At least he would go after his political enemies.

Seriously.

Ya’ll get it. The article was written to incite the reaction it got. That’s Gateway Pundit. Worst of the worst on our side.

What they reported was not taken in context. Lawyers have an ethical standard that they must adhere to. Some don’t...I get it. However Sessions believes that Rosenstien is ethical. We’ll see.

It’s an inflammatory article intended to do just what it did. Let’s all jump on Sessions...even though most people posting here have no clue as to how the legal system actually works....

Has Sessions been given John Roberts-style special message.

Flip when everyone is expecting Flop.

There’s that claim of an honorable man again. So far all of the highly proclaimed honorable men have been anything but. Let’s see if he recuses himself. That’s what an honorable man would do. Perhaps Sessions is giving him the rope to hang himself.

I think Sessions also called Mueller an honorable man. So Rosenstein and Mueller are "honorable men".
