Apple will pull any app that is accused of violating anyone’s privacy and they will thoroughly check it for any such violations. If it is found to be not in violation, it will be restored to the App Store. However, they cannot and will not permit a violating app to remain on the App Store pending investigation. I suspect this app will be back up before too long. PING!

So it’s the seriousness of the charge... and there is no “innocent until proven guilty” .... Why doesn’t someone complain that the homo hookup apps (KIK , Tinder and others) enable bugchasers and leads to deaths.
“The iPhags burn books? Say it aint so!”
Very good.
Apple is burning books that don’t fit their politically correct agenda.
Apples book burning program. Right out of communist playbook.
Now I know why I don’t have an Apple.
Pretty funny. Iran doesn’t allow its citizens to have twitter accts, yet the govt posts using twitter. Netanyahu calls them out.
Netanyahu Has a Message for Irans Foreign Minister: Delete Your Account
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a scathing video on his official Twitter account Tuesday
No, Neidermeyer, it is the POTENTIAL for privacy violations that may actually be occurring.
If the app does have such things happening, it needs to be STOPPED, right now, not some day, after it's proved to be true; the door of damage has to be closed now, not after the have escaped from the barn. What part of that do you have a problem with?
Let's assume there is an app published by a gun-grabber organization on the Apple App Store that is claimed to be publishing the names of everyone who goes into a gun shop, along with his/her address gleaned from the DMV, and what guns could possibly be found at that address, downloaded from a hack into the State's gun registration database?
Tell us, Neidermeyer, would YOU want Apple to pull that app from the App Store on potential privacy violations or not? I would certainly want Apple to pull that app until it is proved one way or the other. Until the facts are known, it is too dangerous to leave it in place violating people's private data.
Let's assume that Apple left that app up and running and your guns were stolen because your data was revealed by the app? Would you think you'd be justified in holding Apple negligent in NOT taking DOWN the app that revealed your address and and what guns could be stolen from your house after they had been alerted to the privacy deficiencies of that app? You damn well probably would be justified in filing suit against Apple for damages.
What if the accusations were true about this anti-abortion prayer app and a woman were harassed or even injured because her identity was revealed due to Apple leaving it available when they could have taken it down? Could she also not hold Apple liable?
Now you know why it was taken down when the News Media made those privacy claims. . . and why Apple has to re-curate the app before it can be allowed back in the App Store. . . and also most likely why the Fake News purveyors on the Left made their false claims.
All that said, the absolute control and censorship displayed by the App Store is a problem for free speech and free expression. That’s one of the best reasons to support open software platforms like the Windows, macOS, and Linux.
No, Neidermeyer, it is the POTENTIAL for privacy violations that may actually be occurring.

Then make a bogus claim on those grounds... it’s just as valid...
This is ridiculous. If the Left doesn’t like the app, don’t download it or use it. But that isn’t the way the Left works. If they don’t like something then noone can have it or use it or think that way. It appears that Apple is just like Facebook, Google and Twitter — run by Leftists who are trying to control what thought and information is available to Americans.
They have been put there over 2 years ago. They can be removed.
Sick perverters at Apple
Tell the Leftist media to use more accurate hyperbole, Neidermeyer. When have they ever been more accurate in their Fake Accusations than they have to be? They go for the jugular every time. A lie is still a lie, regardless of how fake it is.
If we use their tactics against censors ,,, Apple , Google , FB ... then can’t we force them to implement a VERIFY BEFORE ACTION policy?
You still don't grasp the concept, do you?
If you were told that there was a bomb in a certain commercial building you are responsible for, say a shopping mall, would you
A business with liability exposure cannot afford to leave that liability exposed while it does the appearance of nothing while it is doing the checking. Under LAW, once it has been informed about a potential liability, it has to take action to mitigate the potential future damages before anyone else is injured or those damages can be increased due to NEGLIGENCE. Due diligence requires that they remove the potential for harm until they are certain that it is not harmful.
If that app was indeed exposing any individual's private data perhaps through a secret, hidden backdoor that only elite insider users have access to then it has to be stopped from doing so immediately, not at some future time after someone verifies that is what is happening, but more individuals have had their privacy illegally violated when prompt removal could have prevented it.
WAKE UP TO REALITY, Neidermeyer.
Apple’s target consumers think abortion is good.
It’s just a matter of money.
Apple hates us ... why support them?

As a result, according to HC, the app was abruptly withdrawn by Apple. The tech giant said HCs mobile app did not meet their standards, but HC demonstrated that in fact their product exceeded Apples requirements.

HC argued that Apple simply pulled the app because it was politically incorrect.
Tech observers note that decision-making as to what apps are acceptable and what are not is somewhat subjective.
Apple seems to have no hard-and-fast rules that govern exactly what is and isnt permissible in the App Store, Luke Dormehl at Cult of Mac said. As a result, the company and its developers run into these sorts of problems every so often.
