Trump was being gracious here.
McConnell is on the McConnell side.
The sooner we get tax relief, the sooner the economy explodes up.
McTurtle can’t grasp that. Included in his remarks, “Obama didn’t get one of this big programs in until the midst of his second year in office.”
This jackass is dragging both feet and anything else he can poke out, to keep our nation from turning around.
He’s an enemy within. Both he and Ryan have done their best to defeat Trump’s goals.
“Let’s hope McConnell is finally on the Trump-train.”
The only train McConnell rides is one which stops by the swamp.
Just wait for the DemoRat praise that they won’t have to shut down the government, and that they’ll pass the McConnell bill.
If true mcConnell could take away the chairmanships of flake, mccain, collins and that bimbo from Alaska.
You're the "Senate Majority Leader", Mitch. "Majority". Get it? If you really want tax reform done by the end of the year, it will happen. Because YOU will make it happen. That's your job, SENATOR.
POTUS was magnificant. He smacked around a pack of rabid presstitutes for nearly an hour in the Rose Garden.
They better get er done.
I wouldn’t trust him as far as I can throw him. . .considering I couldn’t lift him off the ground, that won’t be very far.
Let’s hope that if he isn’t, the Senate Republican Caucus axe falls swiftly and cleanly and his head is paraded around Lafayette Park by a vast crowd of deplorables.
Somebody got taken to the woodshed.
The best place for old turkey neck on the Trump train is tied to the cow catcher.
It’s not going to pass if it strips away tax breaks for state income and property taxes. Folks can bloviate away about ‘high tax states being subsidized (although these same states often send more to DC than they get)... other things are probably pretty much not only negotiable but not that one, at least as far as I read the House.
I’m not a fan of McConnell but he’s really not the problem here. The problem in the U.S. Senate is that a lot of voters in this country send A-holes like John McCain and Susan Collins to Washington.
It’s often difficult to tell where some republicans actually stand because the big media liars keep telling the public all republicans stand against Trump. I know a half dozen are traitors but I’m not buying the rest of the old media narrative.
Notably, GOP fundraising has been below expectations -- except for small donations energized by appeals from Trump. Meanwhile, Bannon's public attacks on the GOP establishment and his threats to primary recalcitrant GOP Congressmen have made even well-funded GOP Congressmen in secure seats nervous about their political futures.
Yet, say what one wants about Trump, he knows not just how to fight but also how to deal. I surmise that, if translated, Trump's kind words for Mitch McConnell were a way of saying, "Now that I have accepted your surrender, Mitch, I am glad to say that we can get along just fine."
I am betting Bannon and Trump mined the data, and had talks with McConnell donors and other rino donor’s and have ways to expose their shady work...that’s my guess, and Trump, behind closed doors made an offer McConnell may have wet his turtle shell over. In a. Almost voice, he pulled out the brass knuckles.

“and quash talk of a rocky relationship”
that could well be true of their personal relationship, but clearly their politics vastly diverge, and it’s undeniable that Congress has essentially done bupkis in getting any of the major parts of Trump’s agenda enacted.
McConnell is a super-weasel.
