NFL Players Continue Anthem Protests In Week Six Despite Commissoner Plea
Deadline ^ | 15 Oct 17 | Bruce Haring

Posted on 10/16/2017 3:18:11 AM PDT by SkyPilot

NFL player protests during the national anthem continued this week, defying pleas by Commissioner Roger Goodell and some team owners to have everyone stand for the song.

While fewer teams had mass protests this week than in the early games, some players still kneeled, while others stayed in the locker room for the pre-game national anthem. The prior protests have sparked fan outrage and might have hurt television ratings, with some angry observers and at least one sponsor vowing to boycott the league in a counter-protest.

A meeting is set this coming week between NFL management, ownership, and the NFL Players Association to discuss ways to curtail the demonstrations and channel the player passions. It is at least the third such meeting, but none have completely ended the protests.

So far, no mandate on standing during the national anthem has been issued. But the Commissioner has indicated that players “should” stand, and several owners have indicated their displeasure at the activism. Most notably, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, head of the franchise nicknamed “America’s Team,” has threatened to bench players who protest during the anthem.

But players such as Los Angeles Chargers offensive tackle Russell Okung have encouraged their fellow athletes not to cave to demands that they curb protests.

If they hate the USA so much they should pack up and move to North Korea or Cuba and play pro sports over there. In a matter of weeks they’d be on their knees there too, only this time begging to come back here.

The NFL hasn't lost all the fans that will eventually go. They will have to make honoring the anthem an iron-clad deal before I will ever consider giving them my attention again.

It's not even what can be considered a sacrifice like giving up sweets for Lent used to be....

1 Kneel = 5 Game Suspension with no pay

2 kneels = 10 Game Suspension with no pay

3 kneels = 16 Game Suspension with no pay

4 kneels = NFL BAN

Case closed!

Look at the NFL Logo.

Red letters instead of red stripes. White stars on a field of blue.

The logo intentionally borrows elements from the US Flag. The league has exploited patriotism in order to sell tickets since the beginning.

Now it is revealed that this has all been a lie. That a large number of their players hate the Flag of the United States, and the majority of their owners do not care to defend it.

They will never be able to exploit patriotism again.

Frankly, they should change their logo to something like the Major League Baseball, though they might do well to avoid the red white and blue color scheme.

Now look at the logos behind Commissioner Godell. (Did I spell his name right? Do I care?)

Gone is the red white and blue.

Gone is the array of many stars.

Somebody at the NFL looked at that backdrop and approved the deletion of the red white and blue colors. Somebody said that there were too many stars. These things are not done by accident.

Given what we have learned of the league, i guess this is a step in the right direction.

“I can’t recall even one of my bosses ever ‘pleaing’ with me to do anything.”

That’s the first thing that came to my mind. Where do these brats get off? I guess that if it’s not an order - just a ‘plea’ - then they can do what they want. I expect there will be no order from Goodell. Either he’s a raving leftist, or Soros has made threats - or both. Probably both.

A million kids do out there who would love a spot on the team. Dump the ones who endanger the sport. After the first couple are fired the rest will stand and if they don’t, hire a new team. The fans don’t care they just want to watch the game.

These self important little whiners think the world revolves around them. Their weak leadership gave them that impression. Just play the game or get off the field

I heard this morning that Kaepernick had filed a grievance with the NFL Player Association against all 32 owners for colluding to keep him out of the league.

Real smart move in a week where the Packers will be looking for a QB.

Mark 3:25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

Luke 11:17 But He knew their thoughts, and said to them, "Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and a house divided against itself falls.

Either, the above is true, or God is a liar. Get the popcorn and watch what happens next.

"Who cares." <> The nfl, its "games", their "scores", the players are ALL totally irrelevant and utterly meaningless.

The nfl has become like the ancient gladiatorial games, the Circus Maximus; the famous gladiators and the charioteers of "renoun" from the ancient Romance Empire.

Their arenas are nothing but crumbling ruins and who can recall or name any of their "famous" gladiators or charioteers? The answer is no one! This is the fate that awaits the once "glorious" nfl:

Ozymandias

I met a traveller from an antique land Who said: `Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed. And on the pedestal these words appear --

"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away.' <> Percy Bysshe Shelley

This is the future that awaits the nfl, and they destroyed it all with their own hands!

ALL THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY, THAT IS ALL!

They literally strangled to death their fan base "goose that laid all of their billion dollar nfl solid gold eggs" with their own hands. The goose is permanently dead and they killed it! Now, all too late they want to put Humpty Dumpy back together again and resurrect the goose from the dead.

This is rich, the National Felon League chose to side with hate America, only blm, sjw, hate whitey, communist anarchists over America and their own nfl fan base and now their fan base has been totally alienated and the very monsters they willingly aligned themselves with have turned on them and are now eating them alive.

The nfl has awoken to the reality that the entire league, has an incurable case of self induced financial ebola and is hemorrhaging money out of every conceivable orafice to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars a week with no way out and no end in sight.

The once financially lucrative nfl is circling the toilet bowl and is quickly becoming worthless.

We choose to STAND with Americans for America; we choose to "Live Free or Die", rather than "huddle up", "bend the knee" and subjugate ourselves, our families, and our beloved nation to the racist, socialist, PC tyranny and perverted ideology of the National Felon League.

The game was played in NY and those seats were filled by season ticket holders who have prepaid. There are no refunds plus the Jets were playing the Pats and the teams were tied for 1st place.

Pat’s will always be a big draw. While they are hated by so many, like the NY Yankees are, fans nonetheless turn out even if is in the hope they can see them lose

I have also been following rather closely. The 30% seems to me to be an outlier. I’ve consistently seen 17-19%. Plus, I think if there were movement away from the boycott, the media would have ballyhooed it.

NFL Football players seem to be so dumb I now believe all the college stories of how they "get a pass" on tests and study so they can play sports.

They saw Tim Tebow get all kinds of love and praise for kneeling and apparently think "OK, everyone will love us kneeling. Whatever we kneel to, they will love because they love us."

They don't understand that kneeling to hate America isn't the same and never will be. They also think "linking arms" will help. Wow. I truly believe they must have had a pass on grades through college, high school and perhaps further back as well. "Linking arms" is like a spoiled child being sent to their room who sticks an arm out in defiance. "I'm not completely in my room!"

The previous kneeling praise was for Tim Tebow being humble before God. He was being humble, not arrogant. One must be truly ignorant to not see that.

Kaepernick social media posts laud Black Lives Matter, Black Panthers,...

From the article: REVOLUTIONARY HEROES

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

"On May 1st, May Day [1969], the day of the gigantic Free Huey rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo [the police].

Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.

The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."

To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."
