Women aren't the only ones compelled to share their stories in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
Actor James Van Der Beek revealed in a series of tweets that he was groped by a male executive.
The "Dawson's Creek" star tweeted late Wednesday about Weinstein, who has been accused of raping women and harassing them. His alleged actions were detailed in two explosive stories, published in the New York Times and the New Yorker magazine.

They would have been calling any assclown that tried that “Stumpy”. Just sayin’.
yeahbutt he did not name names
I would take “groping” from a male boss once, perhaps if it were done in a group as a joke.
A second time, and he would be missing teeth. I wouldn’t bother to go to the press.
Not a surprise, everyone knows that Hollyweird is full of homo freaks
Probably already took a cash payout and signed NDA.
Here’s what I don’t get.
The sleeze has been obvious, in the personalities as well as the “skin merchant” mentality that has such a high infection rate in the personalities and in the products they offer. No one, absolutely no one should be feigning surprise, particularly Hollyweird’s greatest enablers, the media. It did not take any imagination to realize the only thing not open was the names. They were always there, and our view of Hollyweird always knew it. We really did not need the names to realize there were these kind of secrets Hollyweird was keeping.
> I’ve had my a** grabbed by older, powerful men
He doesn’t name names unfortunately but at least he’s exposing what the “powerful” in Hollywood are into.
I work at the post office and I’ve had my butt grabbed...can I get into the news too??? Oh wait no one would care
Terry Crews, now JVDB.
I feel the same way. My paranoid mind wonders how my family would feel after my ‘accidental’ car crash or overdose.
I’ll bet the vast majority of actors/actresses would strip naked and do a swan dive onto the casting couch in order to get a part in a movie. The sleazeball producers, directors and actors in Hollywood deserve each other.
If Hollywood hates you, maybe they have good reason.
Individual cases differ.
... and their stage moms would be egging them on even if underage. Recall the sorry spectacle of Neverland Ranch and Michael Jackson. Gotta get paid, shake that moneymaker, chilluns. Cali mom needs her makeover and a Lexus. Cabo ain't free neither, you know.
Good for him. Hoping he finds the courage to name names and finally start the healing process that only comes with taking away the power of those who sexually grope/molest/abuse/rape others.
The thing most here on FR don't understand is that the shame people like James Van Der Beek and Rose McGowan have felt for years isn't their shame.
They've been holding it in/holding it back for years and they need to come to the realization they did nothing to "deserve" what happened to them.
Rose McGowan clearly understands that now and is speaking out, and I say damn' good for her. While I'll disagree with her all day long on politics, I'll back her 100% in speaking out against child molesters/pedophiles/sexual abusers like Harvey Weinstein.
I thought he was Gay anyway. I read several years ago he had a crush on a another actor on that show.
These days, I assume everyone in Hollywood is gay unless proven otherwise.
My policy: Name names or STFU.
You’re projecting normalcy upon this crowd, when the ugly truth is the vast majority go into it fully aware of what they’re getting into and do so willingly, still rape though if they’re underage no matter if they were willing or not. Then, you get the occasional innocent like Corey Haim. That still angers me, and his “friend” the other Corey, the comparative nobody trying to trade off the notoriety now that he’s dead when he didn’t life a finger when he could have helped, well, that’s just creepy as hell.
