Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Others Say Weinstein Harassed Them
The Failing New York Times ^

Posted on 10/10/2017 11:16:28 AM PDT by bryan999

When Gwyneth Paltrow was 22 years old, she got a role that would take her from actress to star: The film producer Harvey Weinstein hired her for the lead in the Jane Austen adaptation “Emma.” Before shooting began, he summoned her to his suite at the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for a work meeting that began uneventfully.

It ended with Mr. Weinstein placing his hands on her and suggesting they head to the bedroom for massages, she said.

“I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified,” she said in an interview, publicly disclosing that she was sexually harassed by the man who ignited her career and later helped her win an Academy Award.

She refused his advances, she said, and confided in Brad Pitt, her boyfriend at the time. Mr. Pitt confronted Mr. Weinstein, and soon after, the producer warned her not to tell anyone else about his come-on. “I thought he was going to fire me,” she said.

Not sure if it’s posted on FR but there is a recording of Harvey very aggressively harassing Ambra Gutierrez.

He admits he sexually assaulted her on the tape.

It’s chilling - just chilling listening to this exchange. How Weinsten recovers from the release of this recording is anyone’s guess. It’s awful to listen to.

You’ll have no trouble finding the tape as it was just released about an hour ago from The New Yorker.

There has to be a reason now, though, that this is all coming out after decades. Trying to figure out what offense this dirtbag gave to the leftist cause.

Why now was he thrown to the wolves?

That’s what I want to know.
Was he heard saying something favorable about Trump?

Hollywood is one big incestuous pot of piss. Quite frankly, I’ve spent my last dime at a movie theatre for the foreseeable future.

If you’re upset about the NFL, I recommend EVERYONE do the same and boycott Hollywood. That is an industry full of PEDOPHILES, RAPISTS, SEXUAL ABUSERS and just DEVIANTS in general. They don’t deserve any of our hard-earned money.

If megastars like Jolie and Paltrow knew about this decades ago, you can bet your ass every single person in Hollywood has known about it as well. It’s a joke to them, until it becomes public and they have to safe face.

Eff em all. Bunch of sick, demented liberal freaks.

I suspect that the children of movie stars are just looked upon as fresh meat and are not often protected by their parents.

He made deals with them. Take your clothes off and get on the couch or go back to Peoria. They accepted the trades. It is the sort of relationship that is quite inevitable where one man can give a woman or prevent one from a glamorous career. Consider the desires and the lack of inhibitions that accompanied all those women when they flocked to Hollywood. Most of them knew the going price of celebrity and they paid it willingly.
That said, Weinstein should end his days a pauper in a single occupancy rooming house.
All the indignation now is because everybody now has had confirmed what they already believed or those who never thought about it now know about it.

Perhaps it’s why they are so strong about speaking out, hoping other women will act differently than they did.

(((
Yeah, right. As others have said on this thread, they waited until their careers were made to say anything that could have saved some other young women. I will not give the benefit of the doubt to a bunch of strumpets.

Would be hilarious if recent victims sued the former victims for their oh so convenient silence.

In Mario Puzo's The Godfather, this subject is dealt with rather vividly. In the book, but not the movie. I think the narrative that follows was a little too much for Francis Ford Coppola to put into the movie version.

These scenes take place in Hollywood. The Godfather has sent Tom Hagen out to offer Jack Woltz anything he wants if he'll put Johnny Fontane in his new movie.

His analysis proved correct. Woltz kept him waiting for a half hour past the appointed time. Hagen didn't mind. The reception room was very plush, very comfortable, and on a plum-colored couch opposite him sat the most beautiful child Hagen had ever seen. She was no more than eleven or twelve, dressed in a very expensive but simple way as a grown woman. She had incredibly golden hair, huge deep sea-blue eyes, and a fresh raspberry-red mouth. She was guarded by a woman obviously her mother, who tried to stare Hagen down with a cold arrogance that made him want to punch her in the face. The angel child and the dragon mother, Hagen thought, returning the mother's cold stare.

Then, about nine pages later, when Tom Hagen is leaving the Woltz mansion after being given the old heave-ho by Jack Woltz, this:

hile waiting in the floodlit colonade of the mansion for his car, Hagen saw two women about to enter a long limousine already parked in the driveway. They were the beautiful twelve-year-old blond girl and her mother he had seen in Woltz's office that morning. But now the girl's exquisitely cut mouth seemed to have smeared into a thick, pink mass. Her sea-blue eyes were filmed over and when she walked down the steps toward the open car her long legs tottered like a crippled foal's. Her mother supported the child, helping her into the car, hissing commands into her ear. The mother's head turned for a quick furtive look at Haten and he saw in her eyes a burning, hawklike triumph. Then shee too disappeared into the limousine.

So that was why he hadn't go the plane ride from Los Angeles, Hagen thought. The girl and her mother had made the trip with the movie producer. That had given Woltz enough time to relax before dinner and do the job on the little kid. And Johnny wanted to live in this world? Good luck to him, and good luck to Woltz.

When I first read this passage back when I was a teenager in 1970 or 1971, I had to re-read it several times to understand it. It was the first time I had ever encountered the concept of child molestation by someone in the movie business. I literally couldn't comprehend what was being said at first. I was fifteen or sixteen at the time.

Just like the football players. The only one’s protesting are the ones with enough money to protest. 95% of the black players would LOVE to protest, but they are “afraid”...

So, now, these victim/whores will come out and claim their status as victims and demand attention, respect, and perhaps even some MORE money!

“Me thinks Ms Paltrow is jumping on the bandwagon to gain a little free publicity for her waning career.”

Yeah, but all it really does is show her to be complicit.

She’s too stupid to realize that.

I think it goes back to the silent pix. I recall Fatty Arbuckle. and Chaplin liked young girls, but I don;’t know ages.

She’s also an advocate of “vaginal steaming”. Gwyneth is freaking nuts.

Yes she is. She is an advocate of all sorts of diet and health claims and all sorts of "new age woo", not only not supported by any science but also as in the vaginal "stones" and “vaginal steaming” potentially very dangerous if not deadly. And many GYN's called her out on it.

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/gwyneth-paltow-goop-gynaecologist-women-put-stone-eggs-inside-into-vaginas-steam-dr-jen-gunter-a7541366.html

Yet not only does she have her own website but now also her own magazine called "Goop". How appropriate. Because if a woman shoves rocks up her ya ya, "Goop" is likely the result. She has also been featured in the magazine Women's Health, a magazine that lost all of its creditably in promoting Gwyneth Paltro as any sort of women’s health expert, assuming it ever had any to begin with.

I’ve glanced a Goop a couple of times. It’s a “lifestyle” blog, whatever that means.

She will recommend her “favorite things” like $400 tee shirts which are worth five dollars, tiny bottles of face cream which cost $500, etc. It’s a ridiculously snooty blog, just like Gwyneth.
