The Las Vegas gunman fired hundreds of rounds, including at one point 90 bullets in 10 seconds. Such bursts of gunfire will have shocked many, especially outside the US, but everyday Americans own these powerful weapons too. Here's a guide to the firearms legally available in most US states, and the rate at which they fire bullets.

Do we even really know yet (for certain) that the bullets in the tanks were his?
I’ve thought about getting one just because liberals don’t want me to have one, but if they ban them, I’ll have to turn it in or hide it and never use it, or if they regulate them, I’ll have to register it and put up with all the hassle that goes with it, or again hide it and never use it. Plus, all the manufacturers are working around the clock to produce them and nobody has them.
As long as the government can fire 90 rds in 10 seconds, I want the right for me and my neighbors to be able to...
You pansies who allow Muslims to drive cars into. Roads may want to use such instead of a bobby’s night stick.
Can’t fix stupid.
Have not seen confirmation that Paddock’s bullets hit the tank. Did see mention that police weren’t convinced he fired at the tanks on purpose.
If that’s right, what else was target-worthy out that window and did bullets go there? How many casings were found around each window? There’s so much we don’t know.
“...until 1968 you could but a 20mm semi auto cannon for less than $200 through mail order...”
Oh, I wish I had one of those !!!

Probably quite a few hurt in the rush to escape, some others maybe hit by bullet fragments. I don’t believe a .223 would have enough energy left at that range to go through more than one person.
It takes some time to change magazines. From photos, it looks like he used 60 rnd. surefire mags. There seems to be a lot of time between bursts, so apparently he was not making quick magazine changes or didn’t practice doing it much. Probably just switching to another weapon that was already loaded ahead of time.
I’ll respectfully disagree that it takes time to change magazines. I remember changing them quite quickly during night tactical training. If that were the case for this guy then I’ll go back to a concept that focuses on the fact he was familiar only enough with them for other agendas. I would think 60 rounds on pseudo-auto would create a heating issue with the bolt/receiver and barrel. This may have been something that is covered in the bump-stock literature. I don’t know.

When do we outlaw government?
Don't know what else was on that line or what was in his entire view.
They should have a total count on the spent shells...but haven't heard it as of yet. I don't like them holding back info for no damn good reason.....Post the damn SUPPOSED calcs.
He would have obviously had that all figured out waaaaay before he started lugging guns to the room.
I just meant that 90rds in 10sec doesn’t equal 540shots/min.
I thought I read that they were going to drain the tank...likely looking for the bullet that did make it through.
90 x 6 ?
Rate of fire, not that he fired that many rounds in a minute real time.
We know that one of those guns killed Brian Terry.
In looking for an October 1st anniversary to match the Vegas Oct 1 siege...I found an article which can be found in my next post.
The FBI is only going back a year...to Sept/Oct of 2016 when he started to buy the 33 guns.
He used just a few guns to kill or injure 550 people. How many people can you kill with 2000 guns.
