I can’t see that happening. There is far too much traffic going in & out of Vegas hotels, including from conventions & trade shows.
Ah, when will someone think about a new TSA force to be deployed at public venues and hotels. The Left will love it. These are Wynn properties. Hope his ideas don’t spread.
I calculated yesterday that about 190,000 people a day on average is the daily changeover. 40 million / 365.
Besides, that kind of stuff would go over like a fart in a diving bell for Shot Show. http://shotshow.org/
Give up liberty for security....get neither.
Doubt it will put much of a dent in Vegas hotel business...except maybe for SHOT, or TREXPO, any number of firearms related shows or events.
KYPD
There's no way. This protocol will ruin Vegas.
Wonder how many casings they'll find.
Is it actually illegal, or against hotel/motel rules, to be armed in the hotels/motels?
With all the free groping from a new TSA agency, hookers in Vegas could lose business.
doesn’t matter.
the mandalay bay will be sued because of no security.
In guessing once they start settling and implement security, all the other hotels will figure out some sort of security - effective or not.
I think Nevada law, like many there states, allows for deadly force in defense of an illegal entry of your residence or domicile, which includes hotel rooms. Legal question is can a hotel ban guests from having self defense firearms to protect themselves in their room?
The firing only lasted ten minutes? And the cops say he killed himself when they knocked the door down 77 minutes after the shooting started. What did he do for 67 minutes? Sure blows the theory that he had planned to escape. I’d like to know what the autopsy shows as the time of death.
More jobs opening up for pervs. #PervsOutOfHiding!
The hotel security guard found him at about the 12 minute mark, was shot by Paddock, and probably had Paddock focused on the police activity in the hallway after that and until the door was finally breached.
“Is it actually illegal, or against hotel/motel rules, to be armed in the hotels/motels?”
I hope not.
They waited for swat after that. The room might have been booby trapped. I'm sure they did a little peaking before they blew the door.
There were signs posted in the lobby...no weapons allowed. It was pointed out by one of the news people.
The police say they shot him.
He could have seen the hallway only had one shot up guard. He could have tried to escape. Staying in the room was guaranteed death.
The cops say they shot him. Somebody’s lying.
AFAIK it took the public union employees over an hour to get to the room. The story I read is a private security guard got to the room first, was shot through the door, and then the nutcase mass murderer shot himself.
