Much of the GOPe like the Democrats views the conservative, gun owning, citizenry as the enemy. They will unite against conservatives to pass this and maybe other restrictions. We are relying on Ryan and McConnell to stop this legislative assault. Our odds are poor.
Me like.:)
>>Either you support the 2nd Ammendment or youre a gun grabber. You may believe only certain guns that have a stupid bump stock should be grabbed, but youre still a gun grabber.
Either you can read or you can’t. Read my second sentence in that post before you accuse me of bring a gun grabber.
Remember 1994???? They already banned the sale of most of the stuff on your list once before. They will try again and it will cost them elections.
Not a fight worth having let em ban the stocks and move on. Amazing how fast they can move when the Rats have an issue in their sail.
A law against bump stocks. Things of laws against everything releasing to weapons...
There’s already a law against murder; that should be enough.
DMZFrank, that’s a nice reply. I never bought a Slide-Fire, but I checked out an awful large amount of videos about them since they came out. I came to the conclusion that they really weren’t worth the money unless you put them on an AR or AK with a bipod and used them prone as a sort of poor man’s SAW. Low and behold, that’s just what the Jackoff did.
There are triggers that fire the rifle once when you pull, and then again when you release the trigger. The Jackoff had no problem spending money, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a few of those, as they were, before the murders, around $450 a set.
Funny thing is, a simple rubber band can do what any of those things can do, and just as well if not better.
Hmmmm, it worked for me when I clicked on my post, but if you search “Belt Loop Bumpfire,” there are a lot of videos. Some are real goofballs, and a few want you to listen to them narrate for 20 minutes, but you can get the idea.
A bump fire stock is NOT required to simulate an automatic rifle. It is a technique that can be used on almost any semi automatic firearm. Search for videos about bump firing on youtube and you’ll see all sorts of firearms being bump fired including pistols, shotguns, M1 Garands, M1 carbines, AK47s and many more with the standard stock. You can even use a shoestring or rubber band to assist. What I am afraid of is the legislation to be so open ended that a guy with a rubber band in his pocket is going to be arrested and charged with a felony of having an illegal device to enhance the firing rate of the firearm. Any legislation proposed would have to have very concise language restricting ONLY bump fire stocks and not “any device” and I really don’t trust politicians to do that.
I’m not saying they won’t do it, but I don’t see legally how they can.
ATF declared the bump stock as a “firearm part” and not a “firearm” so it doesn’t fall under the NFA or GCA.
But I’ll bet they find or create a loophole and declare it a firearm.
Oh yeah...drain the swamp. Fire every last one of the GOPe dirt bags. I’ve had it with those guys.
Not directed at you, sorry. I meant to reply to OP. Just replying to this general nonsense that we give up our civil rights because of this asshole in Vegas.
The Left want to disarm the American people so its Einsatzgruppen can go about its business unhindered. And, believe me, the Left are totalitarian despots, and they would not hesitate to unleash upon their political enemies their version of the notorious Einsatzgruppen.
Yes that is how it starts.
The frog in the warm water analogy.
I said the exact same thing on another thread.
Adding Infringements.
This is just a step for the left, next is standard capacity mags.
Does anyone on Faux Snooz know that automatic weapons are legal to own in a majority of states?
Apparently not.
Rush made the same mistake yesterday.
Adding Infringements.
Yeah, I did look and found several. Never knew you could do that, seems a little hazardous and poor firearms handling but still can be done. Also found makeshift bum fires homemade from all types of parts.
it’s not really a trap. The Republicans know what they are doing and are not getting “trapped” into anything, even into all the other provisions that will be tacked on to the bump fire bill.THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
I have no love for bump stocks, but if Republicans think this will shut them up they are sadly mistaken.
