Top GOP donors are reportedly angry over the Republican Party's legislative failures, telling lawmakers their wallets are closed until something passes through the chambers....
As the GOP agenda stalls, party contributors are slowing down their cash donations until the lawmakers start showing they can get results and keep their key promises to undo Obama-era measures.
With the 2018 midterms just around the corner, GOP lawmakers are trying to reassure the donors that they can deliver.

Even the donor class is fed up with McConnell and Ryan
To: Behind Liberal Lines
Ryan and the House are hiding behind McCain, Collins, Murkowski, etc. in the senate. They pat themselves on the back for passing something, but they aren’t surprised by negative votes in the senate. They know how it’s going to go.

I don’t give anything to the GOP. I support individual candidates.

Then they should have no problem communicating that to them personally and inform the gutless, lying POS that they will be funding their replacements in their next primary...

Maybe that will be the laxative to finally get the Congressional GOP moving. They obviously don't care about betraying their voters, but if it's going to hit their campaign funds then they might start taking their own words and promises seriously.

Wait, being in Congress is about legislation, not fundraising?

Then the pissants have the temerity to issue a press release to claim that Bannon and Gorka are insignificant. But K Street will make every attempt to keep deluding the establishment.

According to the full article, the donors are communicating it personally:
Thomas Wachtell, a longtime party donor, confronted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) about getting a legislative win during a recent dinner at the home of Los Angeles billionaire Robert Day...two dozen attendees who witnessed the testy exchange....Wachtell told the news outlet that McConnell reacted defensively..."The GOP leaders should know, no movement on remaining agenda: tax reform, infrastructure, deregulation, etc. means no funding from supporters like me, one angry donor said to a longtime Republican fundraiser in an email forwarded to Politico. No meetings, calls, contributions until we see progress.

The problem is not McConnell and Ryan; it is the members: McCain, Collins, Paul, etc.

It’s good they are talking tough..especially with the 2018 mid-terms around the corner.
It’s about time for RINOs to start talking like they are ultra-consetvatives,too.

And then there is this little issue about confirming appointees, none of which has happened recently. How about an Obminubs confirmation - list all the nominations on a sheet of paper, tell Schumer that if he fillibusters you will go nuclear, and then pass them all.
Go slow. Take the morning off. Do it this afternoon. A kindergarten mock UN could do it, how about the professionals?

The problem is that they’re out of “But we can’t do that, the Dems are blocking us” excuses. The only thing blocking the GOP... is the GOP.

McConnell and Ryan are at fault because they let McCain, Collins, et al misbehave without severe consequences for their actions. Mostly because McTurtle and Lyin actually endorse their actions.

The “donor” class is probably mad about the failure to
give citizenship to illegals and the failure to get more H-1B visas.

Most of the stuff they tried to pass would still fall into the Legislative Failure bin if it had passed.
