Five Huge Unanswered Questions About The Las Vegas Shooting
Daily Caller ^ | 10/5/17 | Peter Hasson

Posted on 10/05/2017 4:03:02 AM PDT by markomalley

Three days after 64-year-old Stephen Paddock opened fire on Las Vegas concertgoers late Sunday night, several huge questions remain unanswered.

WHO, if anyone, helped Paddock carry out his operation?

Clark Country Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said at a press conference Wednesday night that he assumes Paddock likely had help in carrying out his mass murder.

“You got to make the assumption he had to have help at some point, and we want to ensure that’s the answer,” Lombardo said. “Maybe he’s a super guy, super hero–not a hero, super–I won’t use the word. Maybe he’s super — that was working out this out on his own, but it will be hard for me to believe that.”

So far, there is no publicly available evidence that Paddock had help in carrying out his plot.

If, as the sheriff believes, Paddock had help, the question remains: from whom? Paddock’s longtime girlfriend, Marilou Danley, was in the Philippines at the time of the attack. She claims to have had no knowledge of Paddock’s murderous intentions.

WHAT was Paddock planning to do with a car full of bomb-making materials?

Law enforcement officials discovered large quantities of bomb-making materials in Paddock’s car, which was parked at the Mandalay Bay hotel.

Lombardo told reporters on Monday that ammonium nitrate, a chemical compound used to make homemade bombs, was found in Paddock’s car. On Wednesday, Lombardo said that law enforcement officers also found 50 pounds of Tannerite, an explosive chemical, in Paddock’s car.

It’s unclear what Paddock ultimately aimed to do with the car full of bomb-making materials.

HOW did Paddock plan to escape?

Sheriff Lombardo said Wednesday night that he has reason to believe that Paddock originally planned to remain alive or escape after carrying out the mass murder.

Paddock committed suicide after detecting an unarmed security guard outside his room.

How did he plan to escape? That question remains unanswered.

WHY did Paddock buy a room overlooking another concert the week before?

Paddock purchased a room at the Ogden Las Vegas during another music festival, Life Is Beautiful, the previous weekend.

Paddock’s room at the Ogden, like his room at the Mandalay Bay, overlooked the concert venue.

Was the Ogden room a practice run for Sunday night’s massacre? Was it a target? “We don’t know yet,” Lombardo said.

WHY?

The biggest question in the wake of the shooting: Why did he do it?

More than 72 hours after the deadliest mass shooting in American history, the public still has no answer for why Paddock did what he did.

Or maybe he was at the Ogden to gamble and the Life is Beautiful just happened to going on. Name one minute where there isn’t some event going on in Vegas.

Anyone with good knowledge of weapons and a 100 IQ could have developed and executed this “plan”.

Nothing remarkable there. And nothing remarkable about a 64yr old man getting all the supplies in place.

Why would Sheriff insist there’s the probability of an accomplice?

No one has mentioned Big Brother NSA. Within five minutes, the NSA had every communication the guy made from his cell phone to his computer to his ATM card to his credit cards used at the gun store and fertilizer store for the past decade.

With the majority of the gun buys beginning last October, that decreases the reason being Trump.

>No....make his last name a CURSE WORD!<

But his last name is a somewhat commonly used term.

Hey, how about Swine Paddock? Yeah, that describes this POS.

Your sophomoric response speaks volumes about you. The reality is that the vast majority of people will not even know who this guy was 6 months from now. He had his 15 minutes of fame.

Only one in 4 Americans know what the three branches of government are. Probably less than half know the name of the Vice President. I doubt that one in 10 Americans can name the assassins of JFK and Bobby Kennedy. The number of people who can name McKinley's assassin is miniscule.

Erasing people's names from history is a simplistic solution from a simple mind. Go peddle you leftist nonsense somewhere else.

If an arms deal why would he agree to do this in a highly public place like a hotel on the strip? Why not meet somewhere in the desert like on Breaking Bad?

There should be hotel video of him bringing lots of luggage to his room. If he were an arms dealer, there should be videos from other hotels of him with more than an overnight bag. Hope the feds are looking into that.

A dollar tax wouldn’t have stopped this millionaire. It won’t stop ISIS or other groups. It won’t stop anyone who’s determined to do evil.

Government spooks don’t need to purchase guns at the local gun shop and pass background checks.

Anyone with good knowledge of weapons and a 100 IQ could have developed and executed this “plan”.

Doubtful. This took precise planning and execution. The only mistake seems to be his plan to escape. He may not have counted on how quickly the police were able to locate him.

And nothing remarkable about a 64yr old man getting all the supplies in place.

No one has ever said that was remarkable. He had four days to bring the stuff up to the room. In a huge hotel, he would not be noticed. According to the Sheriff, he had ten suitcases.

Why would Sheriff insist there’s the probability of an accomplice?

He didn't "insist." This is what he said:

“Look at this. You look at the weapon obtaining the different amounts of tannerite available, do you think this was all accomplished on his own, face value?”

“You got to make the assumption he had to have help at some point, and we want to insure that’s the answer. Maybe he’s a super guy, super hero–not a hero, super–I won’t use the word. Maybe he’s super — that was working out this out on his own, but it will be hard for me to believe that.”

“Here’s the reason why, put one and one–two and two together, another residence in Reno with firearms, okay, electronics and everything else associated with larger amounts of ammo, a place in Mesquite, we know he had a girlfriend. Do you think this is all self-facing individual without talking to somebody, it was sequestered amongst himself. Come on focus folks these type of investigations have been occurring in the last few years and we have to investigate that.

“the fact that no one left the room after pollard fired on hotel security.”

In the fog of war, how many cops went in and how many came out? Easy enough to hide in the bathroom and in the commotion pop out dressed as a cop and yell, “All clear” and slip out with no one the wiser.

Not crazy. He was motivated by something.

Crazy is different.

Based on what police seem to be saying, this guy had an escape route, and it appears his plan didn’t go as planned, so he executed whatever part of his plan he had control of anyway.

50 lbs of tannerite? It could have taken out a good chunk of any large structure in the area.

It appears the bottom line on this may be that ONLY 59 died and ONLY 500+ were injured. Had he taken out another hotel, or the tanks that were near the event, who knows how many would have died trying to escape at choke points.

Do you think this is all self-facing individual without talking to somebody, it was sequestered amongst himself.

The easiest way to get a secret out there is to tell one person. Even in these days of look at MEEEE! with all their selfies, there are some people who don't have the urge to blab and run their mouths about every aspect of their lives.
