Run for governor? Collins shakes & bobs her head when she speaks. This along with her speech pattern sound like she has Parkinson disease. She should retire completely.

Yea, they seem to have short memories as Collins also voted to both get rid of the filibuster and to seat Gorsuch, something no Democrat would dream of.

She hasn’t done her constituents any good in Maine so why on earth does she think they’d welcome her as the governor. To put her in the governor’s office and to have to listen to that voice would be reason enough to hop across the border to Canada or just leave the state period...I hope the current governor goes all out supporting her opponent if she enters that race.

An independent conservative running against Collins and another few liberals on the Democrat, Green, etc. could stand a chance.

When Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) heard that Sen. Collins might run for Maine governor in 2018, Heitkamp texted Collins, “Don’t do it.” Heitkamp added, “I desperately hope she doesn’t run.”

Didn't Trump just give Heidi an on stage appearance with him? Sounds like Heidi is not on board the Trump agenda.

If Collins runs for governor, I will for one of the very few times in my life vote for a write in candidate or the Libertarian.

This just confirms what we already know about Collins. She is a big RINO.

Then she’ll appoint her own successor to her seat, as Frank Murkowski did.

"...the upper chamber of Congress." Or, as I like to refer to it, 'the upper trough'.

We’ve know for a long time that Collins is a Democrat and this just provides factual proof of it.

A)That’s not true, remember Trump nearly carried Maine, a Republican could hold that Senate seat

B)Her seat is not up for election in 2018, if she were elected Governor she would resign just before taking office and get to appoint her successor

Cant believe anyone would ever vote fir her again. But if she runs for governor, make no mistake she will have the full support of the RNC.

Collins is a waste whatever she runs for. She has terminal decidophobia, inability to be decisive. She would be a catastrophe as governor just as she has as senator. She should just go home and do her nails, water her plants, pet her cats.

Maine has become more conservative in recent years.

Paul LePage, the most conservative governor in the country, was elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. I hope he challenges Sen. Angus King in 2018.

Maine splits it’s electoral college votes. Trump won the Second Congressional district by 10 points. This district.....27,000 square miles....is the largest CD east of the Mississippi and covers 80% of the state.

The First Congressional district is much smaller in area....20% of Maine....but it is much more liberal and more heavily populated. Hillary carried Maine’s popular vote by 2.7% because of the First district (assuming it was an honest vote).
