He has said he will not sign a blanket amnesty. The road to citizenship by these dreamers is going to be long and arduous. Not everyone who is in the country by virtue of being brought in by their parents will even have the chance to stay. Those that have criminal backgrounds will not be allowed to stay and will be deported anyway.
Why don’t we just wait and see what comes out of all this before you jump on the bandwagon and trash Trump. He’s a thousand times better than anything else we could have hoped for and to throw him under the bus and walk away from him over something that we don’t even yet understand is sheer lunacy.
I’m for it. I’ll gladly support giving SOME dreamers citizenship, like maybe three or four of them, IN RETURN FOR:
FULL FUNDING OF AN EFFECTIVE SOUTHERN BORDER WALL AND BORDER SECURITY OPERATIONS FOR 100 YEARS.
That means full transfer of funds to state-level restricted accounts (never to be returned or cut) for the express purpose of funding border patrol operations.
It goes like this:
States set up separate accounts to receive federal funds for border enforcement operations. The funds transferred can only be used to fund border enforcement operations.
This means that states transfer funds back to ICE for continuing border enforcement operations, why? So that future Congresses will never have the opportunity to cut funding, ICE accounts only can receive funding and the states are prohibited from spending the funds on anything other than federal border enforcement operations.
GRANT A FEW DREAMERS (LIMITED ONE-TIME QUOTA) US CITIZENSHIP
