Once in a while, a story comes along that is so ironic it needs this label in bold: Not satire. Liberals continue to look more like a parody every day. The progressive farce was just taken to a new level by black students at Cornell University, who are making sweeping demands after they realized that actual Africans from Africa are taking many student positions at the college.
Yes, the race-obsessed busybodies at Cornell are in a panic because there is now too much diversity.

It lends credence to the fact that those African students are the cream of the crop of their population and hence at the higher end of the IQ curve. Culture, i.e. values, also plays a role, but intelligence is a key determinant of the values one chooses to follow.
I know a couple of Nigerian kids, came to USA as youth when their parents (doctors/professionals) immigrated to the USA.
Parents fit the “Asian Tiger Mom” profile to a “T.”
I obviously don’t ask them “what are your views on the struggles of black America” but I have made some observations
The kids hang out exclusively with Whites and Asians. They have no interest in the “black experience.” If you asked them what music they liked, I’m told it would be Beethoven, or Tayler Swift.
They are top students. Also, top schools Ivy Universities are seeking them out.
They are natty dressers and have very clean-cut public persona. Not excessively fashionable, but always show up to public functions with coat and tie.
Their mid-western teachers (mostly white) who seem to carry “white guilt” around, love these kids, and push them forward every chance they can.
As such, the anger and cognitive dissonance from the Cornell Black student group makes perfect, if contradictory, sense to me.
I don’t doubt that the fake Africans are panicked about real Africans. I’ve met several REAL West Africans who’ve immigrated and I can’t say enough good things about them. The West Africans I’ve met inherently radiate a powerful energy of quietness and calmness. They’re a socialable and likable folk with no chips on their shoulders and zero attitude of entitlement. My feeling is that they would quickly shun any fake Africans that tried to cozy up to them.
You really can’t make this sh!t up!!
This is just too funny!
I have quite a few friends from Jamaica and they are always complaining about how black Americans give them a bad name. I find it rather amusing.
We’ll have arrived when African black people don’t feel any particular taint from the bad behavior of American black people. I certainly don’t feel diminished as a white person by the bad behavior of other white people, they’re just stupid, or crazy, or evil.
It’s all coming back to bite them! HeHeHeHeHeHeHeHe
I have a good friend who is a pharmacist. He’s black and was raised in Kenya. It’s unbelievable how he and his family mock and make fun of American Blacks. Really hilarious. They do not EVER want to be mistaken for American Blacks. They say these are NOT Africans.
“I certainly dont feel diminished as a white person by the bad behavior of other white people”
ditto. which is a good thing considering the antics of one or two of my own WHITE family members!
My experience as well.
The Jamaicans I know are very friendly and hard-working—bonus, they _like_ hanging out with white people.
This is not about race, that is for sure.
“I have quite a few friends from Jamaica and they are always complaining about how black Americans give them a bad name. I find it rather amusing.”
it IS amusing, but also sad: your Jamaican friends DO have legitimate complaints, unfortunately.
Oh, I understand completely. I’ve said many times that if I win the lottery I’m going to claim it through a blind trust, otherwise every sorry relative I haven’t seen in twenty years will turn up on my doorstep wanting money. None of my immediate family fall into that category, thankfully, but there are aunts, uncles and cousins particularly on my mom’s side of the family. I grew up watching the “good” aunts whisper back and forth to each other at family gathering, asking who made what, afraid to eat anything the rest of the relatives brought, put it that way.
This reminds me of the story of a school during Black Hostory month that had a vote for the students favorite/most popular African American student. Well it turned out that there was a South African exchange student enrolled in that school. Oh and he happened to be white.
The students decided to make a mockery of the vote and nominated and elected the only African in the school as their favorite African American student. Flumoxxed and outmaneuvered the administration threw out the vote and admonished the students for not taking Black History month seriously.
Obviously they were humor and irony impaired.
I would bet that the scores of those from Africa and the Caribbean are higher than the scores of American blacks.
Its understandable. Racial quotas were always a form of reparations for slavery. To see African and Caribbean immigrants sneak in with sub-standard scores, when the sub-standard score quota should probably be reserved for descendants of actual American slaves, is probably galling.
****************
It’s not understandable. The time for reverse discrimination as reparation for slavery has long since passed. We should be glad that employers are meeting their (unconstitutional) racial quotas by hiring African or Carribbean blacks who want to work rather than file lawsuits or punch-out whites.
“afraid to eat anything the rest of the relatives brought”
now THAT is sad ...
BTW, I totally get the notion of “good” aunts too ...
sad too, but once you get old enough, pretty much all you can do is shake your head and laugh when you get tipsy enough to share some of the stories with friends. naturally, it turns out pretty much everyone has such stories to tell.
back in the day when Chris Rock was still funny instead of just being embittered, his funnest stuff was based on family stories
It is generally not a theory in my opinion...black American culture is poisonous, and blacks from other parts of the world don’t accept it without question (to their credit) because of pigmentation in their skin.
The biggest threat and impediment to blacks in America today is the American black culture and what it espouses.
They should have listened more to Booker T. Washington than to W.E.B. Dubois.
