There were VERY good reasons for the founders requiring someone who is born here of citizen parents, a natural born citizen, naturally a US citizen because they could not be anything else, as President.

So the worst we have here is “incivility in public discourse.” Let’s overlook the fact he is a sworn enemy of the United States and, in a normal world, would be shot at dawn.

The election of Trump was not a panacea. For eight determined years the Obama commissars permeated and took control of the military including the service academies, CIA, NSA, State, Justice Defense and all Federal agencies. It will take a long equally determined effort to get them out.
I'm not sure they do that. I remember Timothy Leary's biography (yes, that Timothy Leary). He was a West Point cadet who got caught buying whiskey during prohibition. They didn't kick him out. They just ostracized him until he resigned. He held out for two years though.
