Just breaking. A lot of repots on Twitter from people.
True Pundit reported this:
An active shooter reportedly on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay bar Hotel in Las Vegas has gunned down at least one police officer and others.
Actually each burst I timed was a ten-second burst, at 600 rounds per minute that would mean the shooter used 100-rd magazines.
[ I knew before I posted that if I said there were only 500 round magazines, somebody would post a 1000 round. ]
Nah. But I’ve owned those particular drums (90/100) so I know from experience.
Hits 3 times and ok? Not conclusive, by a long way, but indicative of a lighter round at longer distance.
Ok. I’m out.
Dang
The key to me
the 2 people who rushed the stage 45 minutes prior to incident screaming
“YOU’RE ALL GONNA DIE TONIGHT”
dang
See immediately prior post - there are even higher cap drums out now for both and for others.
Yeah, it’s been a long time now. I probably had 90 on the AR and just 75 on my AK.
Trying to remember if one particular Mini-14 had 100. That was a long, long time ago.

ONE shooter. They have a name. Press conference to come.
Modern military and some commercial ammo is very low flash and modern muzzle devices can dissipate it further just for this purpose. Not seeing a muzzle flash from an automatic weapon does not indicate anything.
Her son has quite the record.
Harrah’s Casino is Code 4
How does someone obtain the firepower used in this shooting?
what is code 4?
So the shooter probably put 300 rounds (7.62?) down into a packed crowd in a concert venue within a two minute time period.
>> Actually each burst I timed was a ten-second burst, at 600 rounds per minute that would mean the shooter used 100-rd magazines.
The Mandalay gun was firing about 12 rounds/second.
Code 4 No further assistance needed
Yes, though semi-autos converted in this manner usually have all sorts of problems and don’t do sustained fire well. In fact, they usually break.
Too high a sustained rate of fire for a bump fire device, IMHO.
I pray this isn’t true:
UPDATE: At least 70 casualties including many dead and dozens of injured between UMC and Sunrise hospitals in Las Vegas

not sure either. A friend of a friend tried to assist two; one was gone; another didn’t make it with cpr. A third younger gal with a wound to the leg may be ok - got her to the ambulance.
Reports that before the ambulances got there, ppl were loading injured into cars, trucks, suv, whatever, so the tallies are going to be fluid for a while.
People are separated from their friends, getting their vehicles is a nogo, and even getting to a place they felt safe was confusing. Ppl were directed to a neighboring hotel, but then that hotel would get a shooter threat. Chaos.
