It does promote Christianity, and since it is not the federal government, it is allowed to do so. The federal govt cannot have a state religion, but many states can and do promote a specific religion...ever been to Utah?

Good job! The Framers purpose of the Establishment Clause was to allow the States to promote whatever religion they wanted; and that the Federal Government would have NOTHING to say about it.
